The reality is as sports has become so professionalized and so rich the teams and players in it will push rules to their limits in order to win (good). It may make the game less entertaining (bad). Unfortunately I think it’s necessary right now. But I hope it can eventually be pulled back (as with illegal defense at various times)

Cam butler had a 3b last night. My god Elijah Tatis had one of the worst careers of any minor league player I can remember. Another 0-4 4K night, and it’s like that like every game. Not trying to be mean but it’s kinda hard to believe, it’s like what would happen if you stuck a 14 year old in a game.

Great stuff in there. They had Roberth Gutierrez playing 1B today, so I wonder if always rotating a catcher to 1b/DH helps give some playing time to that relatively larger group.

Started scoring runs after I stopped paying attention. The top of lineup both had a great game. Burrowes was 2-4 with a 2B, 3 RBI and a SB, most importantly no Ks Guil Rodriguez finished 2-4 with that SB. Also apparently Ronny Hernandez double was changed to a single and stolen base at some point lol.

Ronny Hernandez is a 17 y.o. signed just in June and hit a double. Catcher from Turmero, Venezuela it looks like.

Good start for 19 y.o. Gabriel Rodriguez (year 2 in DSL), who struck out 3 so far. No Erick Hernandez today. We do have Guillermo Rodriguez leading off. From Badler: And sure enough he made 1st on an error, stole 2nd, then got thrown out at 3rd. Wish more of our DSL players would just wreak havoc like this. Ryan Burrowes is the other guy to watch in this lineup, starting 2b.
