  1. That's nice. They aren't doing tax avoidance stuff with him?
  2. Sign for four, trade after 2.
  3. Tommy Kahnle's fastball numbers looked really good in August.
  4. Other good stuff, and I know this is somewhat speculation from them (since I believe getz said he was less concerned with correct placement than playing time next year) but they talked about a Kannapolis rotation of Dalquist, Thompson and Kelley, and yeah, that is going to be a fun rotation to follow.
  5. I take back what I said this is unreal lol. Every bit of it, even past the comps. What a selection by the sox and Shirley.
  6. I am here for them... But also BA friggen loves college pitchers lol. They always rank like 10 of them int heir top 100 right out of the draft, but yeah they've started to revise their rankings of pitchers.
  7. Of course it was a salary dump, your position states that they couldn't have traded Robertson without including Kahnle. And I call that B.S. This was the best return they could get while also dumping salary.
  8. B.S. This is revisionist. The sox targeted Rutherford. It's their fault for targeting a player who was already showing he coudln't hit for power. They also didn't have to add frazier salary if it meant anything. It was also reported sox had a deal in place to trade him to nats for luzardo and that bad 3rd baseman. It's because the sox needed to get good players that it was so hard for them to find suitors. It's not good when your best players are market rate AND your only route to getting good returns (see tigers). But if you just need to get rid of the salary? It isn't hard.
  9. flashback 2015: White sox sign David Robertson to 4 year deal worth $46 million. It worked out fine! Liam Hendriks is significantly better than David Robertson was, in a better offensive environment. But sure, draw a line in the sand.
  10. yes they are, they are mentioned as the one that's assumed as the favorite but there are a lot of suitors that could jump in.
  11. Not sure I'm ready to go back to the groundball-closer well again.
  12. Yeah I don't see Coby as being able to actually run an offense based on what he's shown. However, his defense has shown more flashes. We'll see, bulls still don't really seem to be "running" anything which is understandable considering how little practice time they've had with a new staff.
  13. I get it but Pomeranz had showed about a months worth of pitches. Id add Colome made 10.5 last year, so it’s just an expensive position even for arb. I don’t mind sox going after other arms they like. But if they love Hendriks, and there’s a lot to love, go get him. If they really like Yates or Kahnle or McGee etc and think Bummer is a great bullpen, just build a great bullpen and figure it out.
  14. Well I don’t think he’ll get one but when drew Pomeranz gets 4 and Jansen gets 5 he should try and sounds like there’s enough teams to give it a shot. personally, I don’t care that much because you could just trade him but I know everyone else sees a contract like a marriage pre legal divorce
  15. Passan latest about Hendriks. Insider though and I don't have, but opening paragraph just makes it sound like things are not that close.
  16. Q: Do the sox have too much pitching?
  17. Big asset Brett Gardner had/has was availability and reliability.
  18. Man this whole time I thought he was going to be out a big part of next year because all I saw was elbow surgery in august. Didn't realize it was just a scope. Everytime I look, nothing feels like Hendriks wouldn't be awesome. But - there are guys out there.
  19. I don’t really know fantasy but of any I think Lavine/white will be in position to get points. Much better game today. Coby was good, but much rougher start for Williams. Just looked less confident in what he wanted to try. Lavine was much better this game, Lauri was garbage.
  20. No team in history more dominant than the Chicago bears with nothing to play for except making their future harder
  21. I’m not sure this is true
  22. And i hid the ridiculous post. For people that want to make posts like that I recommend 4chan.
  23. It would be a relief. I’d be “thrilled” if Eaton gave us the .390 OBP he gave in short seasons with the nats, or shut down opponents run game like he did with his arm in 2016 with Sox. But I’m worried we’ll get a drop to .330 OBP with low power and a decline in foot speed cutting out some running singles. An annoying feature of this board to me is always rationalizing against only the white Sox. It is likely Eaton is better than Mazara. But we need to start looking at getting an edge over the Yankees, rays, twins, etc. My hope is even with less power, we get a team that likes to swing the bat, continue to make good contact and we see good sequencing.
  24. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahah ahhhhh hanahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
  25. Hand could also just replace bummers role and bummer could be closer if it meant you get the other SP you want.
