The FED =! Federal Government. I'm unclear why people should be cheering for the FED to not meet the incredible demand for USD globally right now.

Fed should definitely take money out of the economy right now.

I do think it will change how we deal with Global Warming as we actually experience a tail risk in our lives.

I'm not sure we know yet. We are about to have a lot of mourning this month. Slow and building. That's likely to be as traumatic, though I hope by some miracle that does not happen.

I mean civil war is definitely worse. Let's just hope this is better than the 1918 pandemic, which I think it will.

Absolutely. Eds intonation was terrible. You had no idea based off of his tone if it was a hit he was describing or a pop-up or a grounder. But the discussion about what players were thinking, how they would prep, it was great.

RIP Ed Farmer
Seriously! They weren't just weird by baseball broadcast standards, they weird by any standard and it was so funny. But when the game's pressure was on, even though Farmer was not visual in what happens, DJ and him really got into the psychological part of the game that I loved. So good at talking about the battery game within the game. Also that relationship of radio, listening in your car on road trips and laughing together. So upsetting to not have again.

Oak Park is doubling every two days. Lots of nurses/doctors in a small area. It did shelter in place earlier than cook. But this is one of the worse curves I've seen.

RIP Ed Farmer
We've long had discussions on their limitations, but Farmer and DJ made me belly laugh a lot. They were so weird, such a different pairing than you'd seek to put together for a broadcast. That had its issues, but also its highs.

RIP Ed Farmer
I had not read anything. Last spring training (2019) he sounded really rough, but he picked it up as year went along. I remember thinking then something was wrong. When he signed on for another year I figured he was fine. very sad. RIP Farmio the best call of the World Series “Sox Lead! SIX FOUR!”

This is a good point. I keep seeing in our paper a family owned grocery keeps saying they are fully stocked. I ought to check it out.

I have not found Amazon to have plenty. We have made homemade bleach spray, but I definitely want some wipes as they are helpful and convenient to wipe down packages and groceries.

Yeah same here. I have heard healthcare is being prioritized for all of it but not sure who is coordinating that?

That was very early on, he was behind only Ohio and San Fran in shutting things down at restaurant level, and then only oak park led illinois in the stay at home orders. The partnership between mayor and governor has been good, and their communication has been very good.

And this is all looking strictly at preliminary numbers. There are three critical failures it is unclear the Feds are responding responsively to right now: 1. Shortage of PPE/supplies - was apparent early on in Seattle, and they are still shuffling their feet in not activating dpa 2. Lack of testing - Terrible decisions early on by FDA and CDC that have been now compounded by 1 as there is a lack of supplies to keep going. 3. Lack of capacity - this is being most mitigated now but still seems to get consistently screwed up in how much the military can provide. Natl guard at state level has been incredible. Obviously, the worst part is now the military bases themselves. So away from the messaging, these are ongoing issues.

That would hold weight if our epicenters weren't in our densest cities.

Taiwan, Hong Kong Germany and Singapore have all done better jobs. Canada has been testing more per 100k until recently. And of course Iceland and Estonia.
