  1. QUOTE(The Bones @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) In Big East bubble news, Seton Hall had a huge second half to get a win over Cincinnati and keep there slim hopes alive, while hurting Cincinnati's chances of getting an at-large. Bad, bad news. Cinci is going to get in cause their rpi is very, very high and Seton Hall could have basically been eliminated today. Not good.
  2. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) Boston College beats up on Wake Forest at home and is continuing there road to the number two slot in the ACC standings heading into the tournament, hopefully in route to a Duke rematch in the finals. If this Eagles team is a two seed, watch out. Did you make your sig? Pretty damn sweet.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Loyola also won tonight in Horizon League tourney play. Blake Schlib and Majak Kou are the s***, and that's about all I know about them. Boo Loyola, go Flames.
  4. UIC holds off Wright State in their first round matchup. They'll play UW-Greenbay now in the second round.
  5. QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) alright, let me rephrase my statement Rule 1: Don't stand up to get something to eat/drink or go to the bathroom in the middle of a play. It happens way too often at the park. Stand up and cheer at the right moments, I'm sure you won't be the only one in the stadium doing it. Much better.
  6. QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) rule number 1: STAY IN YOUR SEAT UNTIL A PAUSE IN PLAY Rule number 1: Never listen to snb. Seriously, if a big play is happening stand up and cheer, no doubt, but don't stand at random times like some people do, it gets annoying as hell.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Hehe that's the best part. In reality, they are 2 of the 3 biggest home runs in team history (along with Blum's) and helped us win the World Series, so this is a silly argument. Fun times though, I never thought I'd be able to start a poll like this. I was at the game and it was basically dream like. I honestly couldn't tell you which one meant more to me cause well they both won the game for us. I also have heard that game 2 was the loudest park anyone has ever been to but I couldn't tell you as I couldn't even hear the darn crowd after either homer cause I was just going nuts and was basically in my own world at that time, pure bliss.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Damnit I wish Illinois would have recruited Mullins more than they did (although I'm not sure if he was interested anyways). Not surprised at all to see him doing so well. The only thing he can't do is shoot. His defense is just unbelievable and he knows how to run an offense(though with our stupid motion it kind of slows him down a bit offensively).
  9. I'm hoping UIC can take it but I think it's going to be UW Milwaukee.
  10. http://www.mvc-sports.com/webapps/release?id=1594 MVC awards given out today. Our freshman pg Bryan Mullins won Freshman of the Year, made the all newcomer team, all freshman team and all defensive team. Needless to say, he's very good. Tony Young was the other Saluki to recieve awards making the all first team, and all defensive team as well.
  11. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) For him to preserve any chance of playing professional basketball in the future (NBA or Europe), I think he pretty much had to. Too bad, I'm sure he wants to help this team go for a National Championship. They shouldn't be all that bad next year either I guess if Sumpter stays healthy. They should have him, Lowry (might go pro but kind of small), Nardi, Sheridan, and an improved Cunningham. Ya, they'll be a top 15 team next year in my mind. I know Lowry is starting to get some looks by pro scouts but I think he's staying.
  12. The Horizon League, Ohio Valley and Big South tourny's start tonight by the way.
  13. Holy hell that's awesome.
  14. Absolutely fantastic article by Jerry Palm of Collegerpi.
  15. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/teams/report/CHW/9271158 Sounds like good news to me. Might be a reason why Kenny has been hard after him for a while. The Sox seem to be good at picking up mechanical flaws or tipping pitches(JC), would not surprise me if the Sox picked up on this, thought they could fix it and that was one of the reasons they've wanted him for a while.
  16. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 01:11 AM) Overrated. I went there a month ago after hearing so much about it and I thought it was good pizza, but nowhere near the hype. I'll stick with Giordano's. Pssh, Lou's>>>>>>>>>>>>Giordano's. There's not another meal in the world I'd rather have then Lou's, true story.
  17. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 09:20 AM) http://suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-cowley28.html AJ.
  18. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) They get a lot harder towards the end... The average of all who take it is in the lower 20's, I think. 30's is a very, very good score. But who knows, maybe you are a genius. I don't know you well enough to know just how intelligent you are. I'm just speaking from experience because I've taken it. It's not as easy as you're making it sound. I was kind of disappointed when I saw which QBs had scored more than me. And what did you get sir?
  19. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) ...or if you end up with the likes of SnB and Jason Anything but that......
  20. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) And i'd have to see who the 7 is in Gonzaga's bracket. I can't see them going further than the sweet 16...but i don't guarantee they lose first weekend like the Saluki over here does. It's become my guarantee, I'll even put it in my sig. Lets see if I'm Joe Naimath or Dmitry Young.
  21. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) It's hard to give you money that i don't even have yet You better be getting it soon or I'm going to be pissed cause I'm out 20 bucks. Speaking of that, let me know when you get it. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.
  22. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) My bad, should have done my research on that one. Alcohol has clearly killed a lot of brain cells from the undergrad years. Haha, fair enough.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) Here's $20 that says Gonzaga will be in the Sweet 16. Any takers??? If Krush gives me my 20 bucks back then I'm down. Seriously, if I had any money I'd be down for that but poor college kid and so on. I'm up for a sig bet if you'd like?
