  1. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) And another hit. Why couldn't we at least have traded for Villone? He was there for the taking. Florida gave up a decent package.
  2. Here's where slider happy viz might work.
  3. We have a Jon Adkins sighting. And Bj Ryan.
  4. Good pitch, bad result, Cmon viz shut this down.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) Who toes the rubber in the 9th? Well so far we've heard Cliff, Viz, Jenks, Adkins. So in other words we're speculating anyone except Dam or Hermy
  6. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) Welp, here's hoping the Phillies fall completely out of it and/or we get Guardado. What would the Phillies falling out of contention have to do with Seattle trading Eddie?
  7. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Here is a link. Let me just state this before someone else does, yes I know AJ has been on the last 2. He's provided some great shots, and that's why he is on it again. You're best one yet, imo. Great job.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Rowand....what's your thoughts? Should Ozzie have pulled Garcia already? My original thought was yes...he should definitely be pulled, hopefully ozz proves us wrong.
  9. There was the good breaking ball. How about 1 more?
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Cabrera is going again. Do you not answer your im's on aim anymore??
  11. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) LOL! Five runs in the first. And, one person made two outs in the inning. I could have guessed... This is his first bad game at the plate in a while. Always nice to hear Sammy getting the boo's.
  12. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) The Sox kept their prospects and this means in the off-season Kenny will likely get a major player. We have some major league ready guys that will need a spot or be traded. So, my guess is in the off-season Kenny will acquire a major bat or arm with prospects as the bait. Oh, ok. Thanks for the info.
  13. Here's the thing guys. The market was just ridiculous this year so nothing happened, in other years with a little better market price, Kenny makes a deal and so do others. I wanted Huff and I love Huff as a player but Tampa is ridiculous to deal with. We're the best team in baseball nobody improved a ton, I fail to see how this deadline hurt us. Everyone should just be happy that we wont have to see Pablo at 3rd anymore and that's no knock on Pablo as an overall player, he's just not a good third baseman
  14. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Lets see if you feel the same if they lose in first round SS2K. And lets see what you think if the Sox advance and win the whole thing. IF, IF, IF.
  15. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) Yes and Bryan Dolgin is now Refering to Ryan Meaux as Ryan Moh! :puke Anyways thumbs up to KW for not making any moves just to make a move. He made a good pick up with Blum and i think we will like Blum a lot. It's pronounced MO.
  16. Go get 'em Freddy, get yourself back on track. Hopefully the offense can continue to do what they've done the past few games. GO SOX!!!!!!!!
  17. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) LOL. I'm just mad because -- IMO -- our bench got worse, not better. So, basically Geoff Blum is Pablo Ozuna (can play every position sans a few) with some power. We lost our best bat off the bench in Gload. The Harris move, I'm over it. He didn't perform, he deserves the send-down. But, what's Luis Vizcaino for? He's supposed to be the mop-up guy, right? Plus, if we do make the playoffs (and yes, I will say 'if' until that magic number is zero), one of Contreras/El Duque will be in the 'pen anyways. Why couldn't they wait one month, then they can call-up whichever 15 guys they feel like calling up. It doesn't make much sense. At all. I love Ross as much as anyone but unfortunately Ozzie wasn't going to use him much anyways. Viz can pitch an inning or two while Adkins can pitch 3-4 if need be, that's why he was called up. I do agree with you though, Diaz seems like the perfect fit for this long reliever role, I'm not a fan of Adkins. Who knows, hopefully we'll both be wrong.
  18. Farns was already having a great year, now he's just gonna be unhittable.
  19. QUOTE(quickman @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) yes your right in triple A. He will never make it at least not long term.. not happening. I'm not talkign stats, I mean the guy knows how to pitch. If he gets a shot somewhere in the majors he'll be solid imo.
  20. QUOTE(quickman @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) nobody talks about "the baj" except this board. Nobody. A relief propsect without electric stuff won't be talked about much, doesn't mean he can't pitch though, cause he can.
