Well Schmidt is pitching today so nothing will happen today most likely. I'm going to follow his start on mlb.tv while watching the sox game.

The contract isn't that big of a deal, he has a team option after this year with a 3 or 3.5 mill buyout.

This is worth a shot for the Pads, May and Redding are horrendous, Quantrill has been good most of his career, so why not take a chance if your san diego?
