  1. QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) sorry. let me counter that witty remark. i don't have a walnut-sized brain. i'll be sure to only post rah-rah stuff. oh, your father, too. Just a question: How many games a year do you watch?
  2. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) I'm almost glad I can't see this game. Being dominated by the has been T-Ball stand makes me want to vomit in my throat while Buherle once again chokes and misses the Ace level... :puke Zito has been real good his last few starts and real good today.
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) I'm just saying it because it's true. Jeez, take it easy. I'm sorry the ASG has been talked about way to much around here, I feel like some of you care about how many allstars we have more then winning games.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) I turned it off. There's now no way Buehrle starts the ASG. After the way Halladay pitched in front of Francona and how Buehrle performed today, there's no chance he gets the nod. That's not a shot at Buehrle, either. Who the f*** gives a s***.
  5. Wow. Good pitch there as well.
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) Jesus H look at that f***ing hole on the right side... QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:33 PM) We have a shift on Kendall, ???? That was retarded.
  7. We have a shift on Kendall, ????
  8. 2 down. Cmon Buehrle, HUGE, HUGE OUT here.
  9. Lets see if Mark can roll one up and get out of this.
  10. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) buehrle you piece of s***, way to blow it Buehrle and piece of s*** don't belong in the same sentence. EVER.
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) f***ING UMPIRE! This is bulls***, pure f***ing bulls***. This isn't even fair. ?? That would have been a hit either way.
  12. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) I told my brother that Thomas would K as soon as he went 2-1. It seems all he can do is hit solo shots. Time for Konerko to be huge. The 2-1 pitch was way low and the strikeout pitch was just nasty there wasn't much Frank could do.
  13. Frank getting strikes called on him like he's 4'2"
  14. Iguchi lays down a beautiful bunt, pablo on 3rd with 1 out, cmon drive him in big man.
  15. Pablo gets picked off, no he doesn't, STOLEN BASE!!!!
  16. HE GAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
  17. 1st and 3rd 2 outs. Big out here, cmon Mark.
  18. There you go Mark, 2 runs now shut 'em down
  19. Well Schmidt's being hit around a bit. This is what I see: His stuff is there fastball is between 91 and 94 so not 95 or 96 but he's got a ton of movement on it, he's also throwing a nasty splitter and a late breaking curve ball. It's just one of those days for Schmidt he's getting hit around because he's falling behind a bunch of hitters. Personally just watching him for the first few innings I'd love to have the guy if the price is right but jmo.
  20. Guys Scott isnt a platoon player. We have 4 really good outfielders and Scott has sat out the least out of all of them since we've had this good problem. Anyways, wow to Frank, that was nuts.
  21. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) He was putting guys on base, but his WHIP was low because no one can touch him when he's throwing his forkball and fastball for a strike consistently. Hell he could walk a ton of guys and still have a low WHIP because his stuff is just that damn good. I know for a while there he had one of the lowest BA against in the majors. Too bad he doesn't use it effectively consistently. That's the thing though even if he'd walk a guy here or there, there still wasn't a ton of guys on base because he didn't allow very many hits.
  22. QUOTE(My Left White Sock @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) But you can't just count the good stretches. Well you said even when he was going good he was putting a lot of men on base and that wasn't true.
  23. QUOTE(My Left White Sock @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) I think thats a great reason to not go with Jose. I am just not falling in love with Contreras' stuff and ignoring the fact that he's remarkably inconsistent and has yet to put together a good major league season. How stupid do you have to be to pitch like Jose? Keep it out of the zone so everyone walks, don't listen to your catcher, get hammered. Seriously you would think all he needs to do is look at his results to realize he needs to change his strategy on the mound. And I don't think even when his ERA was lower he was awesome. He is pretty much a six inning pitcher because he is inefficient with his pitches and he always finds ways to put runners on base. Actually before this last string of starts he was top 20 in the majors in whip so that's not entirely true.
