Pods = All Star
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) I wasn't wrong but o.k. I know what the trade did for the team aka bringing in other players. You cannot even compare the two players lee and podsednik. You can't compare the players because they're different type of players but if you don't think Scotty's been as valuable to the sox as carlos has been for Milwaukee your nuts.

Pods = All Star
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:21 PM) Like the one guy said at the yankees forum... Vorp from this season. Jeter 36.5. Podsednik 9.3. Ahh good ol' vorp. Podsednik deserves to be in, he's been probably the best leadoff hitter in baseball, vorp won't tell you what he's done for this team when he's been on base. You just don't like him because you won't admit you were wrong about the trade. Sorry Scotty's in, deal with it.

QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) Steve Phillips on ESPN was shocked that Scotty made it and said Jeter would ALWAYS make his all-star team!! Well we all know how good Steve Phillips was at putting together teams.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) Have not stopped voting since 5:45. Although I'm still anticipating the MLB article claiming Jeter's "miraculous 10,000 vote comeback occured in the final minute." That's what scares me.

Frank's homer last night
QUOTE(UofIChiSox @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) The shot last night had me hoping, but it didn't happen, so I still wonder........Who will be the first player to hit one into the fundamentals area? Nobody.

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) Santana's been getting bombed lately. 6 ER today with 3.98 ERA overall. Maybe he's hurt? He took off after the allstar break last year, so I wouldnt count him out yet.

Frank's homer last night
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) Are you guys kidding? 30 Hrs in about 3/5 of a season? 20 HRs would be a huge accomplishment for the big guy. 30 Hrs would put him at about 50 Hrs for a full season, which Frank has never really been that close to doing in a full year (I believe 43 was his high). The HR pace will slow, and the average will rise as he gets comfortable. He would have had 50 during the strike shortened year, doest that count?

Frank's homer last night
That ball last night was absolutely crushed and yeah they said it was 418 at the game.

Gotta love Jermaine. Crede gets tossed he goes and plays some short. Pauly needs a dayoff and Jermaine plays some first.

Around The Majors
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) ...in 92 AB's. But hey, if we like sample size so much, I think Kevin Walker eventually should pitch well, 'cause he had such a good Spring Training. Three year splits line vs. lefties -- .241/.363/.483 -- good enough for me. Good call about sample size, that was half assed researching on my part. Still those splits don't thrill me but we're not going to see eye to eye on this, so just agree to disagree.

Regardless of what Kalapse thinks and he does have his way, just keep voting.

Batting average means you can hit your way on base. OBP is great and all but you need to be able to get hits at times. He's never going to drive in 120 runs because he's just can't a ton of hits when he needs to. By the way it's hard for me to believe that Dunn can a a top 10 offensive player when he's basically a platoon player, .197 batting average against lefties :puke

At least its not Timo
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Nice to see the Sunday/Sweep lineup back in action. Well, I'm looking forward to it just as much as the rest of you, but, the next time Ozzie wonders why he isn't taken seriously on the national forum, he need not look any further than: Perez 1B or Dye 1B Konerko needs a day off, Konerko's also been scuffling, we have no one to back up first at this point, so I'm all for this move.

At least its not Timo
QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) Hopefully, Timo is out shopping for luggage. It was hilarious seeing that midget playing 1B last month. At least Dye has some height. But for the love of God, when is Gload coming back? He should be back already, hopefully they bring him back soon.

At least its not Timo
I'll be interested to see how this works out, this could definitely be an option for next year. Anderson in right, Jermaine at first.
