QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 04:57 PM) Do you realize how atrocious Stephenson has been the last year and a half? And the pick, from what I'm reading, is lottery protected in 2019. In other words, they gave up absolutely nothing and got a nice upgrade at their weakest position. Jordan Griffin Green Redick Paul That might be the best starting 5 in the game. They improved their chances from 0 percent to win the title to 0 percent to win the title.

Orioles DO NOT Sign Fowler
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 01:24 PM) Yes we are a couple of pieces short. So is the entire AL Central. I don't think we are the leading candidate here, but we sure aren't out of it. The team has been improved a lot during the off-season, and it might be enough. Here is the thing though, even if we can't win it this year, the next off-season is probably going to be one of the best sellers markets in the history of baseball. All you have to do is look at the free agent market and know that teams that are willing to trade assets aren't going to be competing against quality free agents. They are going to be going against the worst free agent market in modern history. In a scenario where the Sox don't make it, AND decide to sell, they can decide to sell short term assets, such as Frazier and Lawrie, or they can go full out rebuild and trade from the starting pitcher stash. If they were to do it, they should be able to control the selling market more than most times. This is such a silly plan though. That's the definition of playing the middle.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 18, 2016 -> 10:01 AM) Meltzer is thinking Sting despite everything. Also mentioned Goldberg. The match itself would suck and I'm not usually a nostalgia guy but I'd actually love Taker-Sting for whatever reason. I don't ever want to see Goldberg again though.

The final was kind of lacking just like the rest of the season(in comparison to other seasons), happy Cara won though.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 17, 2016 -> 02:39 PM) I might get blasted for this, but what about De Aza? Mets looking to trade him, he for sure will come cheap. Can platoon him with Avi. Sure, he doesn't upgrade the overall defense, but he's still a decent hitter. Seems like he's starting his decline. Despite how much he annoyed people, he was a pretty decent player for us and I would have definitely taken him back last year but I'm not sure he's going to be any good this year. Not the worst out of the box idea though.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 12:41 PM) Where did this "Butler" turned on Thibs notion come from? I had it on pretty good record last year (not necessarily the end of the season so maybe something happened in the playoffs that set him off) that Butler absolutely loved Thibs. On the other hand, Bernstein is coming out and indicating Butler does not respect Hoiberg. Taj also had some comments last week, which made it sound like he didn't respect Hoiberg. This is the Taj who has always been perceived as nothing but class (and I know that Taj loved Thibs...knew a guy that coached Taj during summers and Taj would rave about Thibs). It sounded like Butler was pretty anti Hoiberg at the deadline. Is this a Butler issue (if he turned on two coaches, I'd say maybe, but like I said, I had never heard about Jimmy not liking Thibs and it was widely reported that the two had dinner on a few different occasions after Thibs had already been fired (which to me made it pretty clear he respected Thibs). Oh and when Jimmy threw Hoiberg under the bus to coach harder, one of the items he was directly quoted saying was Thibs mantra. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/02/16/ber...m_content=10093 It was widely reported that Jimmy turned on Thibs last year. But this IS a Jimmy issue more than anything else as far as the coaches go.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 07:49 AM) Wasting possibly Takers last Wrestlemania in an 8 man tag would be stupid. I fully expect it to happen. By the sounds of it, it's not his last mania. Vince said no to Owens, taker isn't dumb enough to face Stroman, they're not going to do styles and cena is dead, there's nothing good out there that Vince will allow to happen. Personally I'd rather keep the Wyatt family away from Brock to set up more interesting stuff and just go the 8 man tag route for Taker since there's nothing good for him to do. But who knows maybe Cena Wolverine's it up like usual and is back for mania. Rumor by the way that the E & C and new day segment on Sunday might be to introduce Enzo and Cass which I can stop complaining they're not on the main roster then. Hope it's true.

Maybe Taker gets added to that s*** squad for mania and they can face the wyatts so we get rid of all that bulls*** at once and then we can have Dean-Brock or Roman-Brock with Dean going for the belt. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a main event segment before. Big Show, Kane and Ryback, those are your go to guys for a go home show!

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 08:23 PM) 5-way was nicely done. Y2J / AJ Styles angle is solid. AJ Styles isn't on the Fastlane ppv? He should be as they ramp up to WM.... I'm sure he will be. Probably getting AJ/Jericho/Miz I'd guess.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) The fatal 5 way was a fun clusterf***. Gives me some hope Ambrose may win Sunday, but I know I shouldn't have that. Following the story they've set up Ambrose should win but ya, not getting my hopes up either. That fatal 5 way was exactly how you described it. I loved it.

They tried for the last minute to make sure PG didn't get the record! I'm with you guys, that was pretty unwatchable but luckily for them nothing else was on. And shout out to tnt for missing Steph's half court shot to end the game.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 14, 2016 -> 12:19 PM) Rewatched the 2000 contest and while last night was amazing, 2000 was unreal. If Gordon and LaVine return next year, add a few more people like Super Mario and it might dethrone it. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 14, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) Uh...'85? '87? '88? Just went back and watched all of these. 2000 was great but I'll take last night over it. The 80's ones don't hold up at all imo.
