Our last 3 hitting coaches with this crop of players haven't been able to get through to them. Hitting coaches can only do so much, you can't change who these players are. It's not walks fault, it wasn't Joshua's fault, and it wasn't ward's fault, they just got blamed when the players were and are the people to blame.

That's not walkers philosiphy that's the hitters philosiphy. It's been the same throughout the Von Joshua, Gary Ward, and Grege Walker regime's, I think it's time to stop blaming the hitting coaches.

During one of Clemens's kids little league games there was a fantom tag on his kid at 2nd base in which the ump called the kid out on. Then according to the ump Clemens spit a sunflower seed at him because of the missed call. However Roger's agent claims that Clemens was signing autographs the whole time. Now on sportscenter they were talking about this and at the end of the story the anchor said "now this brings up the question, a second spitter?" Anyways it's kind of a funny story and it reminds me a lot of the seinfeld episode with the magic loogey.

You Billy Beane? I don't think it's overrated at all, hitting goes in slumps, speed doesn't, if your bats go dead for a while you can still score many runs by ways of manufacturing.

I think he was saying that the koch trade is better then the Loaiza trade.

Crawford is a very exciting player. Hell, I enjoyed it a ton just to watch Gathwright run for the couple days he was up in the bigs. Overall, I just love how that offense is constructed, tons of speed, guys that can run like no other and a slugger right in the middle of the order. I also love how their outfield is setup defensively, as they're constructed right now they have two speed demons and a gold glover, next year they're most likely going to have 3 guys that are incredibly fast, they're going to take away so many hits and so many runs away from the opposition.

All I can say about team speed, is I'd love to have an offense like the devilrays.

Here's another thing about the schedule. The twins are playing a lot of those teams we are trailing in the wild card, if they keep winning they are going to allow us to gain ground on our wildcard foes, hopefully the twins will just start losing but if they don't the wildcard is something to look at.
