I don't think timo is a starter but I have no clue how you can hate the guy. How can you hate a guy that has been one of if not the best clutch hitter we got, our best bunter, a guy that can handle the bat well, and a guy that is slow as hell yet he scares the s*** out of of pitchers when he's on base. Timo is an outstanding 4th outfielder.

Marlins at the Cell
If someone goes to the game tomorrow, handcuff Carl Pavano in the park and don't let him leave until he signs a contract with the sox in the offseason.

Timo is one of those guys you need on your team to win and I could care less what his stats are. He bunts, he moves runners over, he's a clutch hitter, he sacrifices himself, every winning team has a guy like Timo.

Ok, sorry about that I thought you were arguing we should get rid of frank, I misread what you said. About pauly and carlos I should say a lot of people here have stated that we should get rid of 1 of them.

It's been talked about and almost everyone agrees that one of those guys needs to go. Frank before he injured his foot was having one hell of a season and he's always on base, even when he's still in a slump he's still on base, he's still to good of a player to get rid of.

No you don't get rid of Frank period. Almost everyone here thinks we need to get rid of either Pauly or Carlos. Gload is a good replacement for Pauly, we've had a group of individuals for a while now, next year I want a team not a group of individuals.- What Teams Would be Interested in Konerko?
No thanks. Alfonso is not very good anymore, sure he's better then crede but who isn't. Cain is a nice prospect but if kenny plays our hand right in the offseason we can be a legitimate contender next year.- Ross Gload- Starting first baseman in 2005?
He's been consistant all year, granted it's only been part of the season but don't you think if he played all year his swing would be more consistant? And by fundamental hitter I think he means gload takes what the pitchers give him, he doesn't over swing, he's very clutch, and he's a great situational hitter. If that's wrong molto I apologize.- What Teams Would be Interested in Konerko?
I agree it was a fluke but you never know and something like that could happen. This is the highest his value is going to get, I think we have a solid replacement in Gload, and if you can trade Pauly for a good leadoff hitter, I'd do it in a heartbeat, jmo.- What Teams Would be Interested in Konerko?
If the sox made that deal, I'd honestly s*** myself I'd be so happy.- What Teams Would be Interested in Konerko?
Or he could have a season like he had last year. Sell high.- Ross Gload- Starting first baseman in 2005?
Molto, that is one hell of a post. I'm tired of having all these guys that put up great numbers at every position but never come through when you need them. I'm not saying konerko is necessarily is the problem but he's definitely been part of it. PK is a better hitter, gload is a better defender, better baserunner, and probably a better clutch hitter. Gload can hit, gload can field at first, why can't he be an everyday player. If the sox can dump pauly's salary and get a leadoff hitter and then start gload at 1b that would be one heck of a trade off. Gload is exactly the kind of grinder this team needs.- Ross Gload- Starting first baseman in 2005?
Great idea, imo. Gload would hit .280 in a full year, as clutch a hitter as we have, good defender, can run a little bit, is left handed, and konerko can bring some good value. I love the idea.- SoxTalk Marlins/Expos Outing
