Steff, I see where your coming from but the yankees have Miguel Cairo and Enrique Wilson playing 2nd base. The red sox have mark bellhorn and pokie reese playing 2nd base, granted bellhorn is having a solid year but can very much fall off at the dish as well.

I'm concerned with Loaiza more then anything so I guess I would have to say starting pitching.

I agree. That rotation would be ridiculous. The back end of the bullpen is pretty solid right now with politte, damaso and shingo another solid reliever would be fine but we don't need a benitez. Another top of the rotation starter would be huge considering it's pretty hard to trust esty right now. A playoff rotation of Pavano, Garcia and Buehrle would be awesome.

Maybe we'll get all our acquisitions back from last year. I guess we can't trade for Shoney though.

After Robbie who we going to go after.... Scott Sullivan. I think Robbie is a definite possibility I guess I wouldn't mind him back here as a back up but we'd have to give very little up.

I agree with Rupe being a good prospect. Francisco is a descent bullpen guy. Webster is batting .267, how's that a good year? Personally I don't think Webster is that much of a prospect.

Is Lidge a fa after this year? I'd absolutely love to have him. Can you imagine lidge, damaso, shingo to a close a game out, we'd be able to play 6 inning games, that would be nasty.

I agree if any more upgrades are coming to the offense it's going to be a catcher. Look for the sox to either acquire another starter, a reliever, or maybe both.

I agree with you on that. But do you think the Twins will give up Morneau? I know I don't. I would actually like the sox to make a run at batista but I have no idea what it would cost. Miguel is signed for 2 or 3 more years with a reasonable contract.

It's that they aren't trained to pitch that much. If they trained to throw that many pitches they'd be able to get way up there in pitch counts, imo.

We need elo to pitch great because facing mulder in a hitting slump isn't a good formula for a lot of runs.
