QUOTE (farmteam @ Jun 28, 2014 -> 10:41 AM) Oh God we agree with Row, Brazil is going to win 6-0. Pssh I'm much better at predicting sports I don't watch as much compared to sports that I do.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jun 27, 2014 -> 01:25 PM) So who else is sentimentally pumped for Girl Meets World premiere tonight? Maybe most of you are too old to have to attachment I had growing up with that show, but I can't wait to see Corey and Topanga and Shawn and Eric and Mr. Feeny. Hopefully Minkas makes a cameo? I saw a little clip from the show already and Ben Savage stole the scene per usual. It's on Disney so it's sure to be unwatchable but yes, I'll be watching tonight. Love me some Boy Meets World.

2014-2015 NBA thread
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 27, 2014 -> 12:37 PM) Based on what? Creighton was a horrible defensive team and McDermott gets no steals or block shots. I didn't watch them as much as some on this board so it could be true but there doesn't seem to be much evidence that McDermott played any defense at all. They were a horrendous defensive team all 4 years he was there and he was a big part of it. I'm actually not overly worried about that cause if Thibs is going to play him then he'll find a way to hide him on the defensive end. And McDermott did indeed test better athletically than people thought he would but that's where you have to watch game film. He plays below the rim and doesn't blow by any one on dribble penetration. He's going to have to use his smarts and angles(which he's better at than anyone I've ever seen) to get his shot off and score in the league.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 27, 2014 -> 11:02 AM) We have to take a deep breath, and let IH8 CR8N go Ha I LOVED watching Doug in college. I had no reason to hate Creighton in his time since we were hot garbage.

And Patric Young wasn't drafted cause he's 6'10 with an incredibly short wing span and absolutely no perimeter game.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2014 -> 09:29 AM) And just for the record, I love the McDermott pick. If you had to draw up a Thibs player, this is it. He works hard, he hustles, he plays defense as hard as he can, and he can shoot. The guy is one of the best college shooters I can remember seeing. Even with entire defenses scheming around him, he can shoot. At the next level he will see better individual defenders, but not nearly the team defense he saw in college. He is going to get a lot of looks via Derrick Rose. And let's face it, the Bulls need SOMEONE who can score, and that is what this kid does. He scores. The Bulls didn't need another athlete who could jump through the ceiling, but had no skills. They didn't need another shutdown defender. They needed a scorer. They weren't going to get a top player in this draft because of where they were picking, but working up to get McDermott is a really nice get for them. Nobody is arguing that the Bulls needed a scorer, some people just aren't sure that Dougie can score in the NBA.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 08:27 PM) You dont know why I would want a PG when Rose is coming off back to back season ending knee injuries? I hope Rose is fine and there are no issues, but you gotta prepare for the worst, cause the Bulls cant have Hinrich starting all year if they want to be anything. If Rose is broken they're not going to do anything anyways. They've proven 800 times that they can find decent back up pgs, they don't need to draft one.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 26, 2014 -> 08:19 PM) Yeah but you could have had napier/ennis and a SG who can shoot. It would have given the Bulls a great mix and insurance against Rose. Instead you got a guy with no real position. Seriously its bad. Not sure why you like Ennis so much. He would have made 0 sense for the Bulls imo.
