  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 24, 2013 -> 03:33 PM) Start drinking Normally I would have but I'm challenging myself to go a month with out drinking. Haven't had a drink since May 4th and wont until June 8th. Weird, I know. And for the record, it's f***in awful. I hate not partying.
  2. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 24, 2013 -> 04:11 PM) So, I started rollerblading again, practicing playing roller hockey, something I haven't done in a decade, and I picked it up pretty quickly again. Not sure where my confidence level would be in an actual game, but it's added a huge amount of cardio to my life, which I've always found boring. This removes that boredom, and now I'm getting cardio + weight training. I've shed like 10lbs in the last month, with no dietary changes. IE, I still eat ice cream, portillos, etc. Man, I miss roller hockey. Besides basketball, it was definitely my favorite sport to play.
  3. I just have no idea what to do with myself on my days off from work. Today I watched Saved by the Bell and Boy Meets world for like 3 hours, then went to the gym for an hr. Now I'm just sitting on my couch extremely bored. BOOOOORING.
  4. I didn't read the article and I have a ton of respect for Phil as a coach but if the headline is actually true...just wow.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 09:23 AM) So the wife and I took a couple we know out on a bike ride yesterday. They aren't like huge or anything, just somewhat out of shape. We did our usual 20-miler - Prairie Path to Great Western Trail and back - seriously exactly 20 miles from our driveway. Holy crap, it's insane how out of shape people really are - given she and I are so active, the bike ride is seriously nothing. A ride that normally takes us an hour and forty minutes took two hours and fifty five minutes. They had to stop tons of times. My buddy had to walk the bike part of the way. His legs were dead. They were both completely f***ed after this effortless ride. It's nuts. I don't think people realize how hard biking is. When I first started getting back into shape a few years ago, I was running all the time and my cardio was decent for that, tried some biking and crapped out real quick. Not as easy as it looks. Speaking of tough cardio, the stairmaster has become my new love/hate relationship. I hop on that thing for 20 minutes every Wednesday and am just dying when I'm done, great work out. Anywho, I've really stepped up the intensity of my work outs the last 3 weeks, just been killing it in the weight room. Gotta keep it up.
  6. We got to play in the storm on Tuesday, that was a blast. My hitting is so much better this year than it has been in past years, hopefully that keeps up. My Tuesday team is pretty awesome, my Sunday team is quite average. Both real fun though.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ May 23, 2013 -> 08:44 PM) Yep. Read the description. Hasn't that been around forever?
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 22, 2013 -> 10:52 PM) lol. this series is over. Wtf just happened? A layup? Miami is gonna win but this series will be a battle. No doubt.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ May 21, 2013 -> 04:38 AM) I'd bet money Punk is there since it is in Chicago. Why not have Axel attack HHH at the end of Raw? That match did nothing for him. Ya that's what I was thinking regarding Punk. I would have went anyways but my roommates dad won 5th row tickets for the ppv so it should be fun.
  10. Someone please tell me Punk and Ziggler are gonna be at Payback.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 19, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) That's because he is fat and slow. He's tall, WIDE, and takes up a lot of space (which is enough to be considered good by 2013 big man standards). He averages under 30 MPG because he gets winded easily. 12 and 8? c'mon now. And he's going to have to guard Bosh this series. It's going to be raining jumpers or Bosh will just blow right by him. I know you big ten guys watch that crap and think it's real basketball, but it's not. That's what the pacers play like. Doesn't work in the vastly new and improved NBA. I don't get it...we're in 2013 and this is the new improved NBA so I guess Hibbert would have been absolutely dominate back in the day?
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 18, 2013 -> 10:34 PM) NY was 3-1 against Miami (though one of those wins were with 'bron, pants, and chalmers out). Yeah, I know. Regular season means nothing, etc. On paper, Knicks matched up much better. Indiana is a worse version of Memphis. And the Pacers were 2 and 1 against them. As you said, that means nothing.
  13. Ya the Pacers will be play the heat tougher than NY could ever dream of. I think Miami will win in 6 again though.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2013 -> 11:33 PM) lol Hawk goes silent at "Charlotte is not a hitters' ballpark" Ya Wimpy should prolly do his research before saying that. Anywho Chris is f***in awesome.
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ May 15, 2013 -> 09:34 PM) What a job by Seabrook Definitely thought that was a goal in real time.
  16. "Obviously we're disappointed in losing the series. But I was never disappointed in our team." --Thibs. Sums it up perfectly.
  17. There's no reason to be upset about this series but it still hurts. Real proud of this team and still really f***in pissed at the flower.
