QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 08:10 PM) Randy Williams only had 3 outings this season where he went at least 1 inning and allowed 1 baserunner or less. Threets already has 2. Ha, that Randy Williams fellow wasn't too good. -

Well at least we got a chance with our two major league hitters coming to the plate. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) This team even during its streak has done nothing to prove to me that it doesn't need another bat as soon as possible. I don't think anyone would argue with you. This team needs a bat and badly. -

Nice job by Threets. It sure would be nice to have another dependable lefty in the pen. -
QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 10:52 AM) Tons of men can't be in charge of money either. Some people just don't get it. That would be me. I'm the dumbest person in the world when it comes to being responsible with money.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 07:37 PM) Basically. It's just a s*** slinging contest until somebody actually decides officially and we hear from the horses mouth itself. Yup, and I knew it was going to be this way but it's still driving me nuts. Thank god for the fight tonight to get my mind off this for a little bit at least.

And after all this bulls***, we have once again learned absolutely nothing today.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 05:43 PM) If we can get Wade and Bosh and LeBron won't commit, then he can kiss our ass and enjoy remaining ringless in Cleveland as far as I'm concerned. LeBron is the better player, but you can't afford to turn down a 15 million dollar lotto ticket because you think you might win the 25 million dollar one. I agree. Lebron is obviously the main prize here but getting Wade-Bosh is pretty f***in good in it's own right and still makes you the Championship favorite right off the bat imo.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 11:07 PM) Man seriously there are some f***ed up people out there. Been pissed off for the last two days, but today takes the cake when I found out the details. One of my closest friends (known since I was 11) just got back from the Army about 2 weeks ago after bring out there for about a year and a half or so. So naturally he's been going out pretty much everyday with us, family, etc.. Couple days ago, he was out with his cousin at a bar (on the north-side I believe), and these 2 guys started to hit on his cousin. She said no, and was not interested. They kept going at it, again... no. Then, they started to get physical with her cause she wasn't interested. Well, my buddy is not a fighter and hates confrontation (despite being 6-4, 260) but he had to step in with what these jack asses were doing to her. Bar-tender kicked them all out.. no problem, so the guy challenges my boy to a fight. He said alright lets settle this like men even though he didn't want to, but probably could never forgive what that dick did to his cousin (which I won't say). The second guy (his friend) wound up sneaking around through the back, turns his truck on and ran my friend over, basically blind-sided him. Then, put the truck in reverse and ran him over again. Now here is my friend due back (or WAS due back) in the Army (and I believe in Iraq) in 2 weeks, is now having his second major surgery (the third, I believe, is scheduled for Saturday) to pair a shattered pelvis, 7 bones crushed in different spots in his left leg, broken knee-cap in his right leg, torn rotator in his left shoulder and broken bones in his left arm, and his face on the left side is supposedly (horrible looking) with the loose skin burned from the concrete/tires. I won't see him till Saturday, but I was incredibly pissed to hear this news today. Thank god I just heard a couple of hours ago, the police did in fact catch the two f***ers who did this and currently are locked up. No that won't bring back his pelvis, left-leg, etc.. but I hope those scumbags spend a long time in prison. I'm just glad he will probably walk again (even if it won't be 100% again), despite nearly having his spine crushed and better yet.. still ALIVE. Very emotional day. That's absolutely terrible man, sorry to hear that.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 12:15 PM) Ya, but he's in Chicago for the Nike Basketball camp. There are a lot of other guys coming to Chicago for this weekend too. Is he actually headed to meet with the Bulls today? He's meeting with a lot of teams again today, not just the Bulls.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 01:12 PM) Did you even read the article? Because it clearly states they can: The article does not even consider trading Noah, but that would be another way. Because Noah isn't going anywhere. The end.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 12:28 PM) If he's changing teams, he doesn't have to give any kind of notice does he? No.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 11:42 AM) D'Angelo Jimenez gets a spot as well. I don't think I ever hated a Sox player as much as I hated him. That asshole was the dumbest baseball player I've ever watched in my life.

2006 was probably Ozzie over anyone to be honest because of the Mackowiak-Anderson bulls*** he was pulling in cf.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 27, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) I have to agree with WCSox, calm down people, Kenny knows what this club needs and will do what he can to help it win the divison. He always has, im sure of it. Ya well we thought the same thing in the offseason and the club was left as is. So unfortunately until Kenny does something I'm stuck with believing that we're not going to do anything because for some reason Ozzie thinks this club is perfect.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 04:18 PM) The US is terrible at finishing. Their forwards just aren't very good. They miss Davies. Findley can't finish to save his life and Jozy is still a work in progress. Jozy was just brutal yesterday. That game was just heartbreaking, seriously felt like I got stabbed in the heart on that 2nd Ghana goal. -

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) That's actually one of the big reasons why I think we need another impact bat: Alex Rios and Paul Konerko. They're playing out of their minds right now, like WELL above their previous career highs. Konerko's current wOBA: .416 previous highs: .394 (2006) .385 (2005) and Alex Rios' current wOBA: .402 previous highs: .368 (2007) .365 (2006). They've kept this team afloat for much of the year and I really don't know how much longer they can keep up this level of production. Well hopefully Quentin and Beckham can make up a little for the regression that Alex and PK are sure to have. Unfortunately there's much more of a sample size with Konerko and Rios than there is for Q and Becks. -
QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) I know some people that refuse to wear shorts during the summer no matter how hot it gets. Some people wear shorts even in the winter. Its kind of a funny thing about how some folks get caught up in what they are used to and stick with it no matter what. I used to be the type that would wear jeans all summer long cause my legs were unattractive but now my legs are awesome so I do wear shorts. Never sport the cut off shirts though. I stick with athletic shorts or jeans at all times.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 12:35 PM) I don't recall the exact circumstances but didn't the Angels have like no sleep when they played us in game 1 of the '05 ALCS? And no, I'm not saying the '10 Cubs are similar to the '05 Angels but the travel/sleep thing may be overplayed. Indeed. It's ridiculously overplayed, means absolutely nothing. -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 07:53 AM) I am awful at golf. I don't mean I'm a novice - I mean I'm really bad. I tried playing 1-2 times a week for a while one summer to see if I got any better - my "better" was getting my scores into the 105-110 range (I think 105 is the best score I've ever had). More typically I'll hit 120-130 with a few mulligans. I once hit a drive from the tee that went about 4 yards... STRAIGHT BACKWARDS. Another one went about 6 inches forward, and 4 inches buried into the ground. I have broken the door of an electrical box with a ball I hit. I have hit drives that sliced so badly, they didn't just go onto the next fairway, but they literally went to the next one over from that. I eventually switched from righty to lefty at one point, and was equally as bad. Ha, that pretty much sums up my game. I'm not going to lie though, I love it. I've only golfed 3 or 4 times and I've had a blast. I might be the worst golfer on the planet though and that's not an exaggeration.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) I feel almost like we are being used as a pawn here to lure in a bigger fish.... That's exactly how I feel.

Still wont believe it 'til it happens. The more I read guarantees like that, the more that I feel like I'm being set up for heart break.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 01:02 AM) Stop being so negative and just enjoy the ride, until they actually strike out Eh it's not like the actual season when your team is on a winning streak and you can actually enjoy the moment. There's really nothing to enjoy, it's all speculation and waiting and I just want these next few weeks to come and go so we can get on with this.

QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 12:26 AM) There's no way the Bulls strike out. Stop being paranoid. Their combination of talent, cash, and market is well above any of the other teams. It really is the perfect situation to come into. It can't get any better. It's a question of which one(s) sign not if any sign. No LeBron or Bosh=Strikeout.
