  1. QUOTE(farmteam @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) I'll take Team B. Who are they? Team A is Creighton, Team B is Va Tech. Those resumes are real f'n similar. Now I'm not trying to say Creighton should be in(cause they shouldn't be close) but it's just to prove how s***ty Va Techs resume is.
  2. Team A: 20-10; RPI 45, SOS 71; 1-6 v. top 50; 4-7 v. top 100 (best win home versus #42); 7-5 in last 12; 6-8 RD/NT Team B: 19-13; RPI 55, SOS 51; 1-7 v. top 50; 6-9 v. top 100 (best win neutral versus #32); 7-5 in last 12; 7-11 RD/NT
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 03:00 PM) I don't really care, but if you get 4th in the ACC, you should make the tourney. Well that's just pure bull crap. Their best win during the ACC regular season was against the 6 seeded Terps, good for them.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 02:52 PM) I think there is a pretty good chance that Virginia Tech will get in because the committee (wrongly IMO) puts a lot of emphasis on your last 12 games. But if they don't make it, they are getting what they deserve. Same goes for Kentucky, so has a very similar resume to Tech. Kentucky's resume is much stronger imo. Kentucky has at least beat some teams, Va Tech has a whole 1 top 50 win. UK has 4 top 50 wins including the W against Tenn. If it comes down between those two, it's an easy choice imo.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 02:44 PM) Mike Patrick was/is 10,000 times worse. He's a joke too but for Vitale to say if Va Tech doesn't get in their should be an investigation? Alright, Dicky V, Va Tech's resume is god awful but good try.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 03:10 AM) I would imagine it would be somewhere between 11 and 14. It'd be around there, just not exactly sure which one. A BCS team with an under .500 record would be an interesting seed, no doubt.
  7. I kind of want to see Illinois win the next two games just to see what the hell their seed would be for the big dance.
  8. St. Joes just punched their ticket. Congrats to them for being a bubble team that actually wins a game.
  9. Illinois class 4a, first team: Kevin Dillard (5-11 Sr., Homewood- Flossmoor) Mike Dunigan (6-10 Sr., Farragut) Iman Shumpert (6-4 Sr., Oak Park) Nick Fruendt (6-5 Sr., Batavia) Brandon Paul (6-3 Jr., Warren).
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) Villanova is done, they had to get a win today and losing by 19 only makes things worse. I honestly wouldn't be so sure either way with them. Too many bubble teams are losing right now to completely disregard Nova imo. When a bubble team decides they want to win a game then I might be with you but until than, Nova still has a shot.
  11. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:16 PM) That didnt really answer my question. Your right so if Northwestern the epitome of bad wins the Big Ten its justified they deserve a bid. This is a rule they gotta get rid of, no team who only won one conference game deserves any reason why they should deserve a bid even if by winning they get an autobid into tourney. I'm really gonna pull for NW to win their game today and win out just to show how much of a joke it would be. New to college basketball, eh?
  12. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 02:37 PM) He's only leading off once a game. I really don't think it's that big of a deal. Hell, there will be a lot of games where Thome leads off an inning more than Swisher. Is that really that big of a deal? It's more of the case that Swish is going to have Anderson/Uribe hitting in front of him, while Thome will always have OC and Swish ahead of him. I'd prefer Swish to be at least batting 2nd so he has some more rbi opps, but that's just me.
  13. I would really like to see some of Anderson's ab's this spring. If that hitch is really gone, then we're really going to be onto something here but that seems like it wouldn't be the easiest thing in the world to get rid of.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 12:04 AM) I know the PAC-10 is the best league in America, but there is NO EXCUSE for Arizona to have finished 7th in that league with the talent they have. They have 2 no doubt lottery picks in their starting 5 with Budinger and Bayless, a solid/versatile veteran in Jawann McClellan, one of America'a most explosive guards under 6' in Nic Wise, and Jordan Hill, another future 1st round pick, maybe even another lottery pick. I know they've had injuries, but they are WAY better than 7th in the PAC-10, and I think they could be dangerous in the big dance if they make it that far. As has been the case with Zona for a while now, they just don't defend.
  15. QUOTE(kjshoe04 @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 04:46 PM) On Jim Rome is burning they had Adam Emmenecker from Drake on as the guest. They showed some highlights of the Drake vs. ISU game and if you paused the shot of the ISU section I could clearly see myself. I've been on FSN midwest, CBS, and ESPN now in a week. I'm Famous. Well I was supposedly on TV the whole game for our one game on Friday . So take THAT.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 10:47 PM) 10-9 3.63 15-8 3.74 33% more wins, fewer loses. Too simple? I'm discounting spring training for this and would regardless of which way it would fall. Wins and losses really mean nothing to me, especially with a team like last years. Buehrle had the better era, Vaz had much better peripherals. Both were great for most of the season, but imo this is Buehrle's team and he deserves to start opening day. But like I said, not that big of a deal.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 10:46 PM) He had one year left on his deal....it's not hard to understand. Well so does Cabrera.
