  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) Ugh, I'm completely torn when it comes to Willis. I think he'll be pretty damn bad about 3 years from now but he probably would dominate the AL for the rest of this season, throwing elbows and knees at people. I would NEVER, NEVER trade McCarthy for Willis, that would be a huge mistake and I just can't see a deal getting done without including McCarthy. ^^^ Dontrelle would more than likely be fantastic the rest of the year but I think you give him one year in the al and he starts to get knocked around. I'm not sure why, but I've never been totally sold on Dontrelle and I'm still not. IMO Bmac will be better than Willis and I don't want Mac or BA going anywhere.
  2. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 12:22 AM) playing in Charlotte. 7 HRs at home. 1 on the road. True. He's definitely on a power surge though as of now, homers coming in bunches.
  3. Really appreciated guys. Awesome work.
  4. As frusterating as this team is right now, if anyone thinks the AL Central race is over, well then you guys are nuts.
  5. Not at all. When you're playing the team that you're battling in the division with, you can show a little emotion late in a one run game.
  6. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) It was a strike. Balls and strikes are called where the ball went through the zone, not where it ended up. Thank you. None of us here knew that.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:42 PM) Actually, people have been pleasantly surprised with his defense this year. At least he has the ability to throw runners out on the bases. He gets horrible reads out there. You are right though, he has displayed a decent arm.
  8. You know things are going bad on the bunting side of things when Pablo can't even get one down.
  9. QUOTE(Maverick0984 @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) oh noes, gameday says \"injury delay\" Rogers.
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) "The ERA is a personal figure, personal number. You can have 5 dynamite games and then 5 horsecrap games and now that number is gonna look sqewed. What's more important? That sqewed number or that W number?" - Don Cooper, White Sox Pitching Coach Wow, just wow. To be honest, he's probably just trying to stick up for his staff. I think he realizes they're pitching like spiff.
  11. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) I'm sick of this spiff, So awesome.
  12. QUOTE(Bonderman38 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) I don't think you can blame Ozzie for tonight. Javy had been absolutely dominating the Tigers all night, and it was only the 6th inning. It seems that Javy just implodes when he is in his big jams. Ozzie is to blame for something else tonight, not the pitching.
  13. QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) Thanks, man. I guess I better stay away from Whisler, though... He's just getting over your spell. Don't even mention his name.
  14. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) this is a ring of bad luck IMO for vazquez...he hangs a breaker to monroe and its hit out...two batters later, he does it again to inge and its popped up...sabremetrically, vazquez actually has the best peripherals of any starter on our staff... Maybe Billy Beane can fix his brain.
  15. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 09:13 PM) Never And he was the best baserunner I ever saw /hawk Until Mackowiak came along.
  16. QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) Jason posted this is the Pale Hose Forum, but I thought I'd put it here too b/c I know we have some people on here that might not necessarily follow the big league club, but do follow the Barons. Good luck with the interview, bro.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Tigers win...Sox lost after having one rough inning. Rubber game of the series tomorrow and it'll be a huge game. You know if the Tigers go on to do big things, Monroe's grandslam could be looked at as one of the key moments of the season. if the Sox go out tomorrow and take care of business, we could make it just another hit. I don't really buy into momentum too much in baseball. "Momentum is as good as your next days starting pitcher." IMO, that's mostly the truth. We just got to come out and take care of business. Absolutely huge game tomorrow.
  18. Joe will tie this up, if we can get him up. Unfortunately, I don't think AJ is gonna get on.
  19. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 19, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) PK juuust missed that. Jones is going to hurt this team in the long run. He stinks, but he sure does get the job done most of the time. He has as many blown saves as Papelbon.
