QUOTE(beck72 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 07:19 AM) Malone said at the beginning of the yr he was topping out at 87. He said the MPH was going up each time out, nearing where he was [95]. Yes he is back to 93-95 Range started in the 85-88 Range and that is why ERA still a little high but every outing is looking better and he is making outstanding progress

QUOTE(minorsfan @ May 31, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) Looks like Barons got rained out and will play a DH tomorrow. C And most Most Likely no game tomorrow either 90% chance of rain tomorrow

QUOTE(danman31 @ May 30, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) Barons lose 5-2. Young 2-3 with a walk, 2 doubles, and both runs. Malone struggled, but Honel pitched well in relief. The new Cub prospect, Aardsma got the win. Box Score Malone wasn't to bad he just faced a .300 hitting team and they took advantage of every chance they had in the game. Also the 3 runs in the 5th should be unearned but they gave Murton a 2 run triple on a ball lost in the sun but I can't blame Young either because all of the sudden the sun came out. So the box score here is very misleading

West Tenn 3 Barons 2 Good pitching today considering this team bats .302 as a team. Ryan was 2-4 with a triple. To many runners left in scoring postion. Blakely now in a 3-27 slump. Some great Defense today by Young 2 nice catches Sweeney with a great catch and throw, Fields made 2 great plays. Barons still lead the SL south by 1 1/2 games. Corwin on the mound tomorrow.

QUOTE(MnSoxFan @ May 29, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) Love your reports, but would rather see the play-by-play on its own thread, I do not have the time to look through all that and was I scan I miss some posts from others I wanted to see, for comments on other games etc... If others disagree, so be it. I usually don't do PBP and not very good at it so today will be the last time I try it

QUOTE(JimH @ May 29, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) I like that Sweeney is looking at a lot of pitches, it shows in his walk/strikeout numbers, which I believe are almost even. Came VERY close to HR #1

QUOTE(minorsfan @ May 29, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) Sounded like Jenks had a real tough time. On the play at the plate to end the game West Tenn radio said it was a wild pitch by Meaux that came back to Stewart with some luck and nailed the runner. So did we get lucky for once? C It was a wild pitch I was thinking about an SEC tourney game yesterday I seen a lot of baseball yesterday I am sorry for the mistake, But in Jackson they have a padded section around the backstop well there is a 2ft area that is brick the ball hit that section superballed back to Stewart who then flipped to Meaux for what turned into the 27th out. Yes we got VERY lucky Jenks hasn't figured these guys out yet really struggled against them given up at least 2 runs in all 3 games against them. Thanks again for pointing that out to me

QUOTE(dasox24 @ May 28, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) but Meaux came in and closed it out. on a failed Suicide Squeeze bunt missed runner dead at the plate
