How Real teams play baseball.
I remember a team that played like that...... The 2002 Southern League Champion Birmingham Barons

I concur... You are a cutie. Even if Neal doesn't remember you, you are welcome to visit me in Birmingham anytime.

Anyone else getting tired of.....
Thanks Rex Didn't know how to say it without making walks sound like a bad thing. You did it nicely I'm all for walks, if he can get hits and drive in runs when he is not walking.

Losing streak coming???
If the Sox lose tonight, then by definition the losing streak is already here. Three in a row is what you call a streak.

Trade Rumor?
i had reservations, extreme reservation about the koch trade and i said so. however the colon trade was a no brainer and getting daubach and loaiza i was and said that i was giving in to what others posted here. b/c i was not too sure about them. I go on record as agreeing 100%. I was leery of the Koch trade (not against it) for two reasons: 1. I wasn't convinced that Koch was any better than Foulke, who I thought was primed to bounce back strong. 2. I didn't like the Valentine for Cotts swap. Note the jury is still out on that one despite how well Cotts has done so far. Cotts still walks too many guys and throws way too many pitches. That will have to change if he wants to be successful at higher levels. Valentine has already proven himself at the level Cotts is now and is having success in AAA. I am not saying that part was a bust, because Cotts has shown the potential to be the real deal. In all, I still say the jury is still out on this trade. Koch certainly isn't making it look like a winner for the Sox, but I don't think you can give it a final grade yet. The other moves looked like good ones. Daubach and Loaiza were easy moves because they were given Minor League contracts. There was no risk with them.

Anyone else getting tired of.....
The problem with Frank is he looks lost at the plate. He is drawing a lot of walks, which in theory is good, but we need him driving in runs. We need doubles, a few HR's mixed in and two-out hits that score runners. Those are the things Frank is not giving us right now.

this is beyond fukin rediculous
That would be called leadership. The sox management are a bunch of pussies. No way theyd do something like that. Theyd rather play it "safe". Pardon me for thinking outside the box. LOL

this is beyond fukin rediculous
A couple of years ago, when Oakland got off to one of their slow starts and Art Howe was about to be fired, the A's made several moves at one time and sent 3 or 4 players to AAA to wake them and the team up. I don't recall who all of them were, but one of them was former Sox farmhand Frank Menechino. If I recall they also traded Jeremy Giambi right at the same time. Apparently shaking up the team that way worked for them. Could it work here? Send a few guys down, if only temporary, to make things uncomfortable (in a different way than they already are) in the clubhouse? Trade a guy that is not performing, whether he is liked or not? May seem extreme, but is it more extreme than firing the manager for the team's lack of production?

since laz diaz got attacked
I may be confused onw hich play everyone is talking about - the play in the 4th, batting Olerud, and Boone on 1st? I thought people were complaining about the call in the 2nd - we were so out of the game at that point - the call before that was the gift K of Cameron so they didn't all go against us last night - The bottom line is that we were already down 6-1. After the call, White walks the next hitter and then gives up a couple of hits and we are down 10-1. The call didn't beat us.

When it rains it pours
Bad or questionable calls are magnified when teams are losing. If the Sox were on a six game sinning streak, you'd have forgotten about any bad calls, especially ones like yesterday that had no bearing on the outcome. When you are struggling, every call, every at bat, every blown save, everything is magnified.

Heather, why don't you send me a pic and I'll show it to Neal. So he will remember you for sure when you come here.

i think these guys suck
I gotta agree here. I torch manuel a lot, but these players have to take some of this responsibility, get motivated by themselves somehow...manuel can't shoulder all this load. This is complete bulls*** as far as effort goes all the way around...it's sickening. I agree as well. I don't think turning over the clubhouse spread will make things change.
