Am I the only one seriously irritated by the loose, clanky rims? Overall, it has been the type of game I figured it would be. I am disappointed that IU did not finish the half stronger. I thought we had an opportunity to put some distance between them and they failed to do so. The second half will continue to be hard fought with lots of contact, pressure defense and diving for loose balls. Go Hoosiers!

As much as Vitale has become almost too big of a character and irritates the hell out of me sometimes, I definitely think he deserves it. Vitale has been good for college basketball over the years. I think he has helped create interest and made it interesting. In recent years he only does the big games and always seems to champion the same teams, which gets old, but he hasn't always been that way. I know many will disagree with me, but I am comfortable with his contribution to the sport of basketball. Then again, I don't have a vote.

I may just quit watching if Sanjaya makes it into the Top 12. That's Horsesh it!!

Here comes my dad speech! What you should do totally depends on what you want out of life and what is important to you. If you want to get ahead, start building wealth (I have no idea how old you are, but the earlier the better) then you should sell the car, even if you are currently upside down. Even if you have to take a loss now, it will be better for you in the long run and sooner allow you to really save money. If having a cool car and keeping up with those in your "neighborhood" is more important, then suck up the payments and keep the car. By all means add an extra $100 to your payment whenever possible to help save some interest, but stop reading now. Waiting until you have "equity" in a car is a losing proposition. You will pay so much interest in that you could have used elsewhere that you are basically throwing money away. Think about it this way. Let's say you take a $2,000 loss on the car, yet are out from under the $500+/month payments. If you can suck it up and buy a $2,000-$4,000 beater temporarily you will win in the long run. You won't be stuck with paying loads of interest and watching your principal go down at a much slower pace than the value of your car. Buying a new car is a money losing proposition, unless you can just flat out afford it. At 12% you are not only losing, but getting punched in the face monthly. Sell it, buy a beater and use the money you are paying now to work yourself up to where you can pay mostly, if not all cash for a car. Buy a 3-4 yr old car coming off a lease. Buy a car with a good resale value. Today, 3-4 yr old cars still look new if taken care of. But rather than going straight into that, leverage the money you are paying out now. Start an emergency fund if you don't have one. Having great credit is wonderful and lovely. Working your ass off so you don't need credit is 10x more lovely. It takes sacrifice, but pays off big time down the road, especially if you are young and can start making your money work FOR you instead of against you.

I don't think they were proven to be her or not to be her either way. Her friend stepped up and said they were not. Again, I don't think it really matters. Let's say they were for her..... Why penalize a girl for doing something that every does? She didn't release the photos. Someone was trying to either cause problems for her or make a profit off of her. She had no control over their release. All that aside, the other thing is Idol is different than it was in Season 2. At the time, American was still trying to establish itself and a contestant that got paid for photos done on a fake kiddie porn web site would not be good for "the American Idol brand". Now, American Idol is fully entrenched into American life. Idol is so big, they can just basically ignore situations like Barba's, essentially like flicking a bug off its shoulder. Anyone crying racism here is just idiotic. Or just too stupid to understand there are differences in the two situations.

Kansas Jayhawks Upset warning! The Belmont Bruins won the Atlantic Sun tournament and have earned a bid to the Big Dance, very likely in position to be a 15 or 16 seed.

IU is blasting Penn State, which it should do at home. Up 85-59 with 2 minutes left. IU has drained 15 3's. Why can't they do that on the road?? Edit: Final 94-63 Rod Wilmont finished with 21 points in his last game at Assembly Hall. Greasy, I want a full report on Senior Night here or in a PM!

Good news out of Evansville. Coach Steve Merfeld is gone. I have gotten differing reports over whether he has resigned or been fired, but I don't think there is much difference. Now let's hope the right coach can be found. Side notes: Royce Waltman is out at Indiana State and supposedly Dr. Tom Davis is retiring from Drake.

The Illini loss to Iowa sets up a second round BTT game against Indiana at 8:10pm next Friday. Go Hoosiers!

Kansas has come out as strong in the second half as Texas was in the first. Kansas is now up 64-61 five minutes in. This has been a fun game to watch.

Rowand I am thinking the same thing. That was an unbelievable display by Texas. Kansas has not played badly, yet they have to feel like a boxer getting punched from every direction. Texas, mostly, but not only Durant, were hitting shots that were defended very well. And doing it on the road @ Kansas. Kansas allows 59 points per game. Texas has 54 at halftime! WOW

I can't believe some of you guys are missing that many. You guys need to try out for the new Foxworthy Show! I will admit I had to think twice about Kansas/Nebraska and Vermont/New Hampshire. None of the others were difficult aside from a 1/2 second guess on Colorado/Wyoming.

Maybe you guys could get over the hump by beating the Baylor Bears in the first game of the Big 12 Tournament? Not sure things are lined up to go that way, but it's a thought.

For her to have a chance against LaKisha, Melinda, Stephanie and even maybe Jordan and Selena, she needs to stand out in some way.
