QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:33 AM) The last few days, Mike North has been telling everyone that the Sox will be the team that everyone will need to take notice of this year. I agree, I don't think I have ever been this excited about the start of an upcoming season. Perhaps its because of all the new players we have or just a feeling that things are going to jell for us, but I am pumped. My only wish is that we opened on Tuesday so that we could get a day away from the Illini hype that will be all over on Monday if they go to the Championship game. Oh s***...Mike North is an idiot. We are officially jinxed.

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) I have a good feeling the Sox are going to sneak up and shock a lot of people this season. I think we will. Can't wait for it all to start.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 12:57 AM) When you come right down to it Mark Prior and Kerry Wood and their whiny, b****-made attitudes can't hold MB's jock strap. Give me the Burly-mon over those 2 drama queens any day of the week. AMEN. Love the Buehrle!

Wendy's should have been more prepared....balloons should have dropped, confetti should have flown in the air, and someone should have stepped out and said 'Congratulations, you've won the Find the Finger in the Chili Contest!'

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/03/24/chili.fin...reut/index.html Officials: Diner finds finger in chili Thursday, March 24, 2005 Posted: 8:48 AM EST (1348 GMT) SAN FRANCISCO, California (Reuters) -- A diner at a Wendy's fast food restaurant in San Jose, California, found a human finger in a bowl of chili prepared by the chain, local officials said Wednesday. "This individual apparently did take a spoonful, did have a finger in their mouth and then, you know, spit it out and recognized it," said Ben Gale, director of the department of environmental health for Santa Clara County. "Then they had some kind of emotional reaction and vomited." Local officials launched an investigation after the incident Tuesday night and the medical examiner determined Wednesday that the object was a human finger. Officials are trying to determine whether the finger came in the raw materials Wendy's used to prepare the chili, Gale said. Wendy's International Inc. corporate office did not immediately return a call for comment. Wendy's is the third-largest hamburger chain. I make a wicked 'Five alarm and finger chili'....leave it to half ass wendy's to only include 1 finger.

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) i never lock my doors when i go to college... of course both passenger side door locks are broke... I have a few questions for ya. What kind of car do you drive? What college do you go to? And what time is class? Just curious -
QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) Maybe they were arguing over who should hit leadoff? Hairston or Patterson Seriously though, that is an unfortunate incident and hopefully will never happen again... Why? Let these f***s shoot each other. Obviously, gangland activities do result in innocent people occasionally dying. But if these pieces of s*** all shoot and kill each other, who cares?

I blame the FCC...first they came for Howard Stern...now Soxtalk posters. Damn Janet Jackson's breast.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) Not so sure about that. Berlin is just a slot WR / returner at best. I doubt he has much bearing on what position we draft. http://www.chicagobears.com/ Muhsin Muhammad Bobby Wade Bernard Berrian Eddie Berlin Justin Gage We could still draft a WR. I hope...I want Mike Williams...f***ing Bears.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) Dan patrick says if you add one more mvp to franks resume he is a hof'er If all these guys weren't cheating, who knows how much better FRank would look. This steroid stuff makes him look so much more impressive. He's a HOFer...no doubt.

QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 10:57 AM) Crede at .179 and that swing still looks long to me. Harris at .194 - here is a guy who needed to have a good spring and it's not happening. For guys like this who are under the microscope, spring training results are more important than for, say, Paul Konerko. Crede and Harris are both under pressure. If these results are indicative of how they perform under pressure, that's a problem. No one should overreact to spring training stats or results but neither of these guys look good to me at this point. Thank God we got Iguchi...Harris is a utility player....and Crede is so dissappointing. I still want him to start this year, but it might not be long before 'he gone'

This is disturbing. I had a close family member who was an addict, and this does not sound like a good solution to me. Getting off heroin is what is needed. I certainly see the reasoning, but its f***ed up.

Good 'ole boy? You guys are crazy! I was trying to find one of those priceless GM pictures of him with his cowboy hat on, his feathered hair and sunglasses. But I couldn't find one.

Steff was easily the first name I learned on this message board. And she has hit me over the head on several posts. Not that I don't enjoy it.
