  1. This is over a week old, but I have not seet it here yet http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?id=3383534
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ May 15, 2008 -> 01:34 PM) 5.625 is a steal for the Brewers to lock him up long term. gotcha, read it the other way around for some reason.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ May 15, 2008 -> 12:08 PM) For Braun, 5.625 mil a year is a steal. joking right? This was a very smart move on The Brewers Part.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. I am a 'little' nervous about how this could work out. But, the pure baseball fan in me knows the law of baseball averages.
  5. kazmir signs 3 year extension http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3396451
  6. I bought Low and sold very High. traded Cliff Lee, Cle SP traded Mike Jacobs, Fla 1B traded Rickie Weeks, Mil 2B received Ryan Howard, Phi 1B I was on the Verge of releasing Weeks anyway, so it really comes down to Jacobs and Lee for Howard from my perspective. What's everyone's thoughts on this deal?
  7. QUOTE (zenryan @ May 12, 2008 -> 10:53 PM) another day and another UF player in the news. This time Florida DL Matt Patchan was in the news for being shot in the shoulder Friday night while at a park near his home in Tampa. Does anyone see irony of a Miami Hurricanes fan pointng this out?
  8. I've known about this for about 2 years now
  9. cubs interested in edmonds http://www.realgmbaseball.com/src_wiretap_...onds_wednesday/
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 11:32 PM) No reason to take him out of the starting rotation. I'm sure we'll need a 6th starter sooner than later. I'm sure he would be an upgrade over mark at this point. Why not put mark on the DL and give him a mental break? Mark's game is more mental than stuff anyway and he is not mentally there right now.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 11:09 PM) My dream LOOGY/ROOGY combo of Logan and Wassermann has been disappointing. Ozzie's done a good job of using Wassermann, but it's just not clicking for him this season. I don't get it either. I mean he looked damn good in aaa. Granted, it was only 7.2 innings of work. Maybe a Broadway sighting could be near?
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 12, 2008 -> 06:09 PM) Know anyone who wants a 360 or want one yourself? I'll trade my extremely lightly used XBOX 360 (with a three year warranty from Best Buy purchased in December, which means if you ever get the red lights of death you just take it to BB and they hand you a new one, just keep the harddrive) along with two controllers (one wireless), an HDMI cable, Live headset, and two games (Tiger Woods 07 and NBA 2k8) for a decent treadmill in excellent shape that has a digital display. The 360 is in mint condition and is the Premium version, so I'd expect the treadmill to be in mint condition. PM or email me at [email protected] if you are interested. We can exchange pictures OF THE PRODUCTS lolhitting.gif to see what's up. here is a link where you might be able to make a trade http://chicago.craigslist.org/bar/ you should just trade your 360 for a wii and a wii fit http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-RVLRRFNE-Wi...t/dp/B000VJRU44
  13. Most technical fouls in a season - 41, Rasheed Wallace
  14. Marlins with the lowest payroll have the most wins.
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ May 9, 2008 -> 05:17 PM) I miss Rudy Law I miss Frank Thomas
  16. quotes from a reds board about this .
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 9, 2008 -> 11:57 AM) Some combination of Bailey, Cueto, Volquez, and Phillips (probably 2 of them) Besides Bailey, I disagree. I think any of them straight up for Q is a fair deal. That is no bash on Carlos either. I think he will be a stud.
  18. from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Phillips does anyone know what that was about?
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 9, 2008 -> 07:08 AM) I think this one's almost as classic. They refused to deal Hughes to get Johan Santana, but now they'll do it for Jared Burton and Jeremy Affeldt (basically two relievers)? This guy gets paid way too much to do this. What makes it worse is he was a former gm. I am having a hard time belivieing he was serious. I think sometimes ESPN likes to just screw with it's listeners.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ May 9, 2008 -> 01:13 AM) Mike Brown is a very good player. But he has also proven to be unreliable and too prone to injury for the Bears to not have a Plan B for the guy. I agree. However, you keep brown on the field and on the team at least for this year, as long as he is healthy.
