  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 07:43 AM) They should be thrilled with an offer of Uribe for Vizquel ... straight up. I would not do it. Uribe plays good/bad in stretches. He proved that last year. Here we have a young ss with above average D who hit .283 and 23 hrs and has decent speed. You want to trade him straight up for the aging vizquel? Are you nuts? Uribe is not hurting us as much as people tend to think. If Vizquel were 2 years younger then yes. Plus why trade for a guy who didn't think much about signing here 7 months ago? I don't want him. I am also tired of getting former indians past their prime. People in cleveland are laughing at us.
  3. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 02:07 AM) You're lying if you're saying you wouldn't take a shot at Gwen Stefani just because she's flat, she still has a killer bod inluding a decent ass. I just thought I'd help her self esteem by giving her a pair of tits. kalapse once again let me say, good work!
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) Especially since we just had Loaiza start one a couple years ago. 2 years our 5th starter is starting the AS game?
  5. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) Probably Clement. I heard that Francona always wanted Clement in there and starting since he would be on normal rest. you don't follow baseball, do you?

  16. QUOTE(Big Hurt Way Back @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) The CENTURY 21 Home Run Derby (ESPN and ESPN Radio, Monday, July 11, 8 p.m. ET) will have an international flavor this year. Hoping to kick off the countdown to next year's World Baseball Classic, the derby will feature players from different nations represented throughout Major League Baseball. Six out of eight participants have confirmed their spots, according to MLB.com. According to the Web site Tuesday, the roster includes: Atlanta slugger and home run leader Andruw Jones, Philadelphia's Bobby Abreu, Milwaukee's Carlos Lee, Pittsburgh's Jason Bay, Detroit's Ivan Rodriguez and Boston's David Ortiz. The Dominican Republic will be represented by Ortiz; Venezuela by Abreu, Puerto Rico by Rodriguez; Curacao by Jones; Panama by Lee; and Canada by Bay. The only two countries not represented yet are the United States and Japan. One player who won't represent the United States will be Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee, who declined an invitation because of a sore shoulder, MLB.com reported. Seems to me that Konerko willl most likely represent the US. I think thats a really cool idea for the Home Run Derby. Anyone else have any opinions or think who else may be in the Derby? we already have a thread in ATH for the derby http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...pic=36449&st=30
