  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 08:13 PM) Not when Marshall's in jail!!!
  2. QUOTE (DanksFan @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 07:32 PM) Classless post. You obviously have no inkling about how truly awesome Billy Pierce really is. He's a great guy and he is great towards fans... I think it would be great if he threw the 1st pitch. I see Billy Pierce ALL THE TIME. He is at every soxfest. Maybe We should have Moose Skowron throw out the 1st pitch next year on opening day? How is it classless btw? I find the selection BORING.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 07:00 PM) Billy Pierce is throwing out the first pitch. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
  4. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 06:36 PM) Didnt realize how bad things were in Chicago if people are going this crazy for Cutler. Get off your high horse. Most fan bases would go nuts if they brought in a pro bowl QB. QB=Most important position in American Sports.
  5. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 05:48 PM) Maybe I should start every wish list thread? PLEASE DO!
  6. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 06:05 PM) Of all the teams he f***ing goes to its the rival of my Packers. Too bad he doesn't have an offense to throw too Rasheid Davis, Hester, Booker, Lloyd, joke Broncos got the better deal, 2 first rounders, a third, and Orton who's not a bad QB. Nice pool of potential talent there. The off-season is not over. Run and hide while you still can!
  7. EVERYONE START DANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU JA!
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 06:48 PM) I luve me some Ross Gload. I may be this site's second biggest Gloadite (other than the guy whose username is GLOAD IS GOD). His stint as a starter in KC wasn't what I thought he'd do. I think he just didn't get his chance until it was too late in his career. But, he's still a nice bench piece if you need a 1B/OF who can hit righties well (actually only slightly better than he hits lefties), PH for a decent average, and give you a little speed. Defense is a bit below average in the OF but not nearly as bad as was made out here, and he's plus at 1B. Also, fun fact - Ross Gload's career OPS with the bases loaded is 1.112, and is .820 w/ RISP. Good luck, Ross! Quality Post. I Luve me some Gload too.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 07:25 PM) Krause could sure draft them. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=ap-b...p&type=lgns Gotta love Corey BLUNT

    April Fool's

    Told my fiance (who is a teacher) that it snowed while she was still half asleep. I should have taken the joke one step further by turning on the radio to listen to school closings. note to self: Record school closings next year on a snow day and replay it on April Fools.
  11. I don't understand this move at all.. http://rotoworld.com/content/clubhouse_new...amp;majteam=CWS I guess you know what time it is
  12. Ok I want my Quarter back Now. Can you make it Cutler?
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 11:14 PM) Alright fine, a quarter a dozen because he can bat down passes.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 11:09 PM) I'm not going to argue with this, but it doesn't change the fact that Alex Brown is a very replaceable player. He's solid against the run and "scrappy", but a guy like that who has 5 or 6 sacks a year comes a dime a dozen in the NFL. He is not a dime a dozen. Batted passes are pretty damn important.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 11:01 PM) Who are you, Greg Blache (who once said "sacks aren't important.) Sacks aren't solely the way to judge a defensive end, but any d end who puts up 5 or 6 a year like Alex Brown is EASILY replaceable. Most good franchises just let guys like him go without batting an eye and replace them with cheaper draft picks. Sacks are very important. There are so many intangibles. Are you willing to say Michael Strahan's record breaking sack season was the best single season ever for a DE? What is more important, 3 sacks in garbage time when your up 38-0 or a blocked fg to send your team into overtime with playoff chances on the line? This is Alex Browns game. He is very scappy and makes things happen.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 10:55 PM) I'm game for a Pax-related reprieve for now. Good deadline moves this year. Better if he can find a taker for Hinrich. VDN though...eek... Very good points as usual. A Hinrich trade would have me pretty happy with the future of the franchise.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 10:54 PM) My main concern is that Paxson and VDN might be back next year. If they are both gone, I'll be happy. I was on the same boat for Pax before the trade deadline. I'm ok if they both stay here next year. If we were out the playoff race I would want VDN's head.
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 10:55 PM) That is correct, and even Alex Brown has always had an overrated performance level IMO (his career high in sacks for a single season is 7). You must not watch the games. Alex Brown is underrated because most fans LIKE YOU judge a DE solely on their sack numbers.
  19. I guess I'm alone with the Harris signing. I was ecstatic at the time. He was a premier DT who was 24 at the time of the signing.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 10:44 PM) The Bears unwillingness to spend money is definitely a RECENT trend, I am not saying they are a cheap franchise, I am just saying they have been lately (basically since after the Super Bowl ended). The only real things they've done since then is give out one expensive and in my opinion wise contract in Lance Briggs, and some absolutely idiotic contract extensions (Tommie Harris and Brian Urlacher come to mind). It does not matter WHO the spend the money on. They spend money. I was all for the Tommie Harris signing at the time and I know I was not in the minority. They gave Urlacher a little money to shut his mouth. It was either that,trade him or take a chance it would not carry into the season. Sure they were wrong in a couple areas, you can't always bat 1.000. Even New England could have been pretty close to giving Cassell all that money and try to trade him when it is too late. Mistakes happen. It does not mean they don't spend money.
  21. Maybe it wasn't a good counter, but it has as much merit as all of you the last couple pages. You guys sound like a bunch of whiny old men.
  22. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 10:42 PM) The #1 is an albatross if you don't want it, but they still do have the #20. Detroit might not want the #1. I could see Detroit trading it to get Cutler.
  23. Does Cutler have a say where he goes? Because I can see him pouting in a trade to Detroit. I could also see Denver trading him specifically to Detroit just to spite him.
