Bottom line.. Schilling is borderline So uniform and gimmicks make all the difference in the world.... Red Sox, Cubs or Yankees World Series winner + bloody sock = HOF White Sox, Marlins or A's World Series winner + no bloody sock = No HOF I obviously can't prove this would be the case, but I feel this would be true.

I included Rivera because kyle said pitchers Not sure why I forgot to include Clemens.. add him too obviously

I am hoping salmons was not hurt, that would be the only reason I could think of to bench him. It looked like VDN got pg happy yesterday.

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 28, 2009 -> 09:36 PM) Good thing someone waived Thomas in the Soxtalk league. Good thing Arenas was available today

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Mar 28, 2009 -> 04:21 PM) Go ask the Browns section of footballsfuture.com and they'll glady tell you, also. as posted in the other thread, read the comments below this article http://www.ohio.com/sports/41191037.html -

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 28, 2009 -> 12:47 AM) Who was that sleeper on your fantasy football blog? Selvin Young, wasn't it? I'll wait and see on Dukes. Knight, that is a low blow. Ouch. Selvin Young sucked balls. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 11:59 PM) Browns fans say he was awful in pass blocking this past year. your friend accounts for the whole fan base now? -
Rose missed 1 FT during the championship game. That's what I was referring to.

Your Keys to an '09 Sox Division Title
rangercal replied to Kenny Hates Prospects's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 10:57 PM) Not trying to sound negative, but we'd need a damn miracle to win the division unless most are players are hot (I guess CQ and Alexei is great for starters) and the rest of the division s***s again (like last year) considering I think technically the Sox are a much more vulnerable team than they were last year. you always try to sound negative. -
Mr Angelo, please trade for Jay Cutler!

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Mar 27, 2009 -> 12:10 AM) If Shaffer was that good... he'd still be a Brown. However, he has experience and he's huge... so maybe he can be salvaged and this coaching staff can coach him to be a better player (not likely). Do you respect Mangini that much where you would think that? check out the comments at the bottom of the page, when the Browns released him http://www.ohio.com/sports/41191037.html -
QUOTE (daa84 @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) well he did miss a FT with like a minute left that would have won the game...but you are right millers an asshole Missed fts happen. He missed 1 Free throw. Miller made it seem like he missed 4-5 down the stretch.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 09:59 PM) One of my better friends is a Browns fan and he says that Shaffer was terrible last year. His strength was never pass blocking, but it was downright bad last year and his run blocking, which is his strength supposedly, wasn't all that great last year. I'm pretty sure most of the browns line had a bad year, most of the offense actually. Hopefully it was just a bad year and not an early decline. -
Reggie Miller just called Derrick Rose a loser and they lost partly due to his "missed free throws" . Rose went 3-4 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=284000063 I loved Reggie vs the Knicks, but he is a douche.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 01:28 PM) Regardless if we get Cutler (almost zero chance) or not,Chicago is where QBs go to die,how can an organization be so inept at drafting and developing quaterbacks?Look at all the other teams in the time we last had a decent qb (McMahon) and you'll notice they all have had at least a couple of above avg passers to our zero (Kramer had a decent but injury plagued career with us)...it has to be more than bad luck imo,I dunno what it is but its frustrating as hell. Cutler would change all that. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 01:26 PM) So we signed the guy that was let go so Cle could sign St.Clair, and basically a rookie at the bookends. Not exactly a good line, and not even as good as last year. Cleveland did that series of moves to cut costs. Shaffer is very solid. Chris Williams is a 1st round pick. Clady and Otah did not let the rookie title effect their performance. I have hope for Williams. He didn't suck last year, but he did not play much either. I choose to look at the glass half full. -
QUOTE (Cali @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 02:01 PM) Josh Fields hit 23 home runs 2 years ago, I don't see how he can really be that surprising. Unless you're talking mostly about defense... No. I'm talking about reaching a level of any of the following TCQ,Alexi,Danks or Floyd (as stated on the opening post). I would find it slightly surprising if he could put up good power numbers and hit above .270.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 12:51 PM) Plus they still have that guy they traded for last year(Buenning), and Omiyale. The line will be quite different this year, no doubt. you said "different" and not "better". Call me crazy, but I think it is way better now. Of course if Chris Williams stubs a toe or breaks a pinky, we could be in for a long season. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 12:42 PM) If we got Cutler (which there is about a .9 percent chance) who in the hell would protect him? We just signed a Right tackle (kevin shaffer) yesterday, Chris Williams , Kruetz,Garza and Beekman. Not the best OL in the world, but I bet it will be better than last year. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 10:08 AM) He got set back by injury, but I think once Jayson Nix gets back, he is gonna take the 2nd base job away from Getz and never look back... I like most names on the Poll list, and Jayson Nix is definitely one of them. Should be a fun year.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 10:58 AM) There's a lot of talent in the AL East. I don't think they are sending him down because of the Arb clock, I think they'll send him down because for the first few weeks you rarely need a 5th starter. They probably want to keep him on a regular schedule. To stay competitive, Price will be up here no later than the final week of April. So... it's a non-issue in terms of real-life, and in fantasy I'd hold onto him. Sorry Steve, I know you're a price owner. Could not resist...

Rosenthal: Melky Cabrera is on the block; Sox would be good fit
rangercal replied to DaTank's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) Really? The Sox could use a proven CF and leadoff hitter, surely, but I don't think there's a need, per se. It's more of a desire, or whatever word you want to use between need and luxury. Top Tier organizations would call it a need.
