    I used to bartend through college. For beer, I run a tab all the time. Even though I was a bartender, I can not justify tipping $1 a beer. I will tip 20-25% for a good drink though.

    QUOTE (YASNY @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 03:47 PM) I don't mind tipping waiters and waitresses. In fact, for just average service I will tip at least 20% and round up. However, I dodn't want to tip someone handing me a paper towel to dry my hands with in the men's room like I have encountered in some places in Chicago. I'm perfectly capable of getting my own paper towels. what about the little baskets of candy some of them have?
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) Sorry jerks. Some dude just gave me $190 through Craig's List for it. What a sucker. LOL! good 4 u . That's awesome!

    QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Nov 26, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) I work hard for the money I spend in restaurants. If servers work for tips, then they should WORK hard for them too. 15% if service is what I expect, 20% or more if it's above and beyond, 10% if it sucked. That's fair. I agree completely.

    If you could afford to eat out then you could afford to tip. I hate splitting the check with cheap asses(I'm looking at my Fiances brother-in-law) . I've come very close to asking for separate checks the last couple times out.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Nov 22, 2008 -> 05:41 PM) I still believe that people who spell that terribly while drunk are doing so on purpose to show people how "drunk" they are. Bingo
  7. another 670 the score rumor thread that will likely end up as nothing. Anyone think they make things up?
  8. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) You disagree that Rose is a leader?Because Pippen proved he couldnt lead a team by himself. Rose is a leader. But, I watched just about every Bulls game when Pip was in charge. He was just fine in the leadership role. That whole not coming in the game I disagree with. But, it was way overblown.
  9. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 02:01 PM) Obviously Rose has a ways to go until he can compile a good resume but my point is that he has the natural physical ability and leadership skills that it takes to lead a team to a championship.Since when in this city is a conference final considered something above and beyond special.I believe that was the same year Pippen sat on the bench and b****ed like a little girl at the end of a big game. jordans rings without pip= 0
  10. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 01:19 PM) No.Rose is a leader Pippen never could lead a team by himself. I disagree
  11. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 12:12 PM) Joe Johnson should definitely get in considering he's having a good year in scoring so far, and that the Hawks are actually a pretty good team ATM. Devin Harris' numbers are fantastic also for a PG, with 23PPG and a 3:1 A/TO ratio. I'd say both deserve to get in before Rose currently, but fan voting is a wonderful thing. Ray Allen is another guy to consider with fan voting also. I'm not talking about deserving to start. I'm pointing out he has a great shot to start because of voting.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) Derrick Rose is going to go down as the 2nd best Bull, ever. I know it's early to talk about , but..... anyone think he has a shot to start the all-star game? At the guard slot, Wade will get in and then it could come down to Rose and Iverson. 1. Iverson is having a down year 2. Fans love star rookies 3. Rose is the biggest star with the Bulls since MJ, I think the Bulls fan base will stuff the ballots. Other guards that should make the team: Devin Harris Joe Johnson Jose Calderon If Iverson beats him in the vote, he should still make the team. But, I think he has a legit shot at starting.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) I was at the game in STL this weekend. I don't care what anyone says, despite having 2 wins, the Rams are easily the worst team in football. I don't think they are with Jackson. Rams with Jackson > Lions or Chiefs
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:52 AM) I'm sorry your bait tactics didn't work on me, it was a good backup plan to a lost argument though. which is the accurate post? I'll let you pick.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:44 AM) They had a fluke game (it was flukely for both sides) against Minnesota, a very good game at Indianapolis, and have beaten up on garbage 3 times. I hope Orton and Forte prove to not be overrated in the long run, but right now they both are. The Bears were 22nd in the league in yards per game entering today too, so they have been efficient in scoring when they've had a chance apparently as well. Oh wait, now they are overrated again? and you deleted your previous post which said they were not? I'm done. Good night. Not worth my time.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:41 AM) Neither is overrated, both are just being proclaimed as great far, far too early. And the reason they have the 7th best scoring offense in the NFL is quite simple. 34 and 27 vs. Detroit, 27 vs. St. Louis, and 48 vs. Minnesota (they did get 29 at Indy, although 7 were on defense). Three games against garbage, and one absolutely FANTASTIC performance against Minnesota in a very strange game. The bears are the only team to play against a garbage defense? I see.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:36 AM) TCQ would have been the clear cut MVP of the American League had he not punched his bat. If Forte loses out on the MVP award (or just being the best player in the NFC) due to hurting himself in December, then yes, the comparison is perfectly fine with me. a top 5 all purpose running back does not compare to a corner outfielder, on a softball team hitting in a bandbox?
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:25 AM) Because stats through 11 games of an NFL career don't prove or mean a damn thing, as some of the things you yourself posted prove. Hold on now, TCQ putting up his numbers for 80% of a season proves elite status where It is ridiculous to compare Forte to? So, if Forte keeps pace for 3-4 more games, will that change your mind?
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:22 AM) You lost me when you compared Forte to LT, Walter Payton, and Emmitt Smith. Nice try though. Forte is obviously having a very good season considering his lack of help, but he's got a ways to go to prove he's an elite player. He was a great value pick in the 2nd round though. why? Numbers don't lie. So far he is on the same track. Why don't you back up your posts with facts and numbers instead of opinions and speculation?
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 01:03 AM) Burner has a shot at being the best NFL player from our school one day (he's certainly carrying my fantasy team). The problem with Atlanta is I still think they are still perhaps only the 3rd best team in the NFC South (game behind Carolina and Tampa Bay, the Falcons home loss to Denver last week was a killer), which might be the real best division in the NFL, although it's close with the East. no it's not.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 06:31 PM) Forte entered today averaging 3.8 yards a carry. That will go up after beating on the pathetic Rams, but to compare him to TCQ is laughable. It appears he can join Orton in the overrated pantheon at the moment. 1. Forte is the Bears Offense. Everyone knows he is getting the ball. It's no secret. Do you realize how much harder it is on someone when they are the focus of every opponents defensive game plan? How did it work out for Marion barber when his qb went down? 2. The Bears OLINE is horrible. Forte is having a great year, despite them. 3. Just for fun, compare LT's rookie year to forte in any category you want. (don't forget receiving yards, you seem to not put that into the equation) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats?playerId=2553 Wow! LT had a lot of fumbles! 4. YPC as a rookie payton 3.5 Esmith 3.9 LT 3.6 Anthony Thomas 4.3 The places I can go with that example! 5. Checkmate
  22. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 12:29 AM) The Bulls completely collapse down the stretch, and whatever chance they had at a decent circus trip is now gone. Bulls***. 2 wins is a decent circus trip, imo. I'm serious.
  23. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 05:19 PM) Forte is not TCQ like yet. bulls***. yes he is.
