  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 11:33 PM) Home field in the NFC Title game will probably come down to the Giants/Panthers game next week. In fact, it will come down to that if Dallas holds on tonight. I knew they played, wasn't sure what the tie-breakers would be. Just seen it all lies on next week. However, Let's say the Giants lose this week and next. Would they want to go in the playoffs losing 4 straight? I bet they would show up if they lost to the 'Boys and Panthers.
  2. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 10:23 PM) Someone should have beat the s*** out of him. Regardless of your level of derangement, he is still our president, and those bastard-ass jackholes should show him some respect. Bulls***. We, as Americans should. But, I won't judge how they feel about him in Iraq.
  3. QUOTE (daa84 @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 09:48 PM) bears are pretty much all but done now....wild card is almost for sure out of reach with Tampa (Oakland still left to play) and Atlanta (st. louis to play still) 1 game ahead with a tie breaker and each having a guaranteed win in there....that doesn't even count dallas and philly....so basically they will have to win the division, so they will have to win out and Minny will have to lose out..possible but pretty unlikely...especially given the fact that the giants won't be playing for s*** vs. minny in that last week Oh... so they don't want home field in the NFC title game? hmmmm
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 08:55 PM) I have about 8 bad names to call you right now. Put can't post them. Would Ba-bich be one of them? can't think of a worse name.

  7. QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 02:00 AM) Moneyball Baseball Between the Numbers The Book: Playing the Percentages in Baseball Yeah. Baseball fans reading a book about baseball? Shocking! Wow, internet tough guy. Obviously, that's not what I meant. I read the book myself and see references here all the time. Q
  8. QUOTE (BearSox @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 08:56 AM) ugh, and I had KFC last night... it's new meaning to white meat.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) If he throws it through the back of the endzone it's not intentional grounding. I'm convinced that Kyle Orton has no clock in his head which is real scary. You mean this clock?
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 01:55 PM) As an NIU alum, this makes me sad. I still get to enjoy Falcons games, but Garrett winding up on the Bears was quite a happy moment. Hopefully he's back with the team next year. He went to my younger brother's HS. Holy Cross? Now it's called Guerrin Prep. Anyway, I have a framed G wolfe autograph my brother gave me when Garret made a visit to his school.
  11. The way people talk around here, I can tell many read moneyball.
  12. I was way off when I said Rose had a chance to start the All-star game! Guards: Dwyane Wade (Mia) 623,311; Allen Iverson (Det) 492,093; Vince Carter (NJ) 236,634; Ray Allen (Bos) 174,155; Jose Calderon (Tor) 124,705; Luke Ridnour (Mil) 123,104; Jameer Nelson (Orl) 116,228; Derrick Rose (Chi) 102,263; Joe Johnson (Atl) 94,847; Devin Harris (NJ) 94, 294; Gilbert Arenas (Wash) 64,450. 15. I don't think it's a huge deal. I mean think about it, I bet there is worse s*** put into those sinks then humans. Plus, I would bet that the sinks get rinsed out on a daily basis.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 01:18 AM) The Bears lose the tiebreakers to Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Carolina, so even if they win out, the Wild Card chances aren't outstanding. For the Bears to make the playoffs, they need somebody to collapse. Tampa Bay has 9 wins and home games against Oakland and San Diego left, so it won't be them. Basically, the Bears need Atlanta, Dallas (they have the tiebreaker due to conference record ATM), or the Vikings to lose 2 out of 3, while the Bears win out for a playoff spot to open up. Atlanta or Minnesota will lose at least 1. They play each other.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 01:00 AM) If the Bears run the table I would almost guarantee they are in. Unless this happened http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenari...amp;17=14414404 Teams missing the playoffs: Dallas 10-6 Bears 10-6 Atlanta 10-6 Philly 9-6-1 New Orleans 9-7
  18. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 12:36 AM) Ugly win, but a win just the same. I'll take it!
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Dec 12, 2008 -> 12:11 AM) Three options for Orton. Forte, Olsen, Hester in that order Davis should not even be on the field
  20. The 2008 regular season lies on the shoulders of Ron Turner and the Chicago Bears Offense
