  1. Not surprised, the condition of the tracks and the train system is deplorable in a big city like this. Its embarrassing actually.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 28, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) Awesome win, would love to see a QS everytime out but that's not realistic so it was nice to get a win that you can attribute to the offense Gavin basically rolled one breaking ball that got him into trouble, the defense and a few broken maple bats got the other runs in.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 28, 2008 -> 01:21 PM) I prefer the "half empty". The bandwagon really emptied there after the 90's. The Indians arent the most popular team in a lifeless town, and now they are basically relegated to 3rd place with the Lebrons doing well.
  4. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ May 28, 2008 -> 09:20 AM) That's an interesting perspective. You may be exactly right. Swisher seemed to embrace coming here; never got that sense from O Cab. O cab has been shipped all over the league, I doubt that is the case whatsoever, especially with Ozzie at the helm and a team that is winning.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 28, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) I don't really think any of those ideas do a hell of a lot for the Sox. When the team is winning Soxtalk is full of lateral moves.
  6. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ May 28, 2008 -> 12:41 PM) cant blame renteria for him comments anymore.. thats just a flat out retarded statement. But continue.
  7. Well, the Tribe pulled out every gork hit, every bunt play, every steal, every trick they could possibly muster and still they cannot beat us.
  8. To be honest, im not sure what this thread is about. Looks like someone is looking for reasons to vent.
  9. Konerko is so easy to get out with the inside pitch right now.
  10. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 27, 2008 -> 07:21 PM) idians are in 4th right now....2nd place sure beats 4th! Just shows people who arent from or know ohio that Ohio State is still the most popular team in the state, especially in Cleveland and Columbus
  11. one thing to note, when you look in the stands in Cle, I would say about 50 percent of the people in the stands are wearing Ohio State hats or shirts instead of Indians gear.
  12. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 27, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) It is encouraging to see Konerko with a hit though To expand on Konerko. He really needs to stop trying to hit for power if his hand is so messed up and start Sean Casey-ing it by just making sure he gets the barrel through the strike zone and make solid contact.
  13. On the plus side, at least we know its a loss early so we can go do other stuff.
  14. Honestly, he should be in the 2-hole right now. Move AJP back down and put Swish between OC and Carlos.
  15. I wish people would stop talking about signing Crede to an extension. Its just a waste of your time. The owners, the GM, and his agent have said that nothing will happen until the season is over, yet over and over people keep posting that he may accept a below market rate extension DURING the season. Wake up, everyone involved said a conversation isnt even going to start until the offseason.
  16. QUOTE (gosox41 @ May 26, 2008 -> 09:36 PM) So, someone give me a reason to have faith that he'll be a productive hitter this year. Time is running out. Bob his career numbers. Done.
  17. He almost put two balls in the bleachers last night after 4 days off. He's fine.
  18. QUOTE (BobDylan @ May 26, 2008 -> 12:23 PM) Who cares? People who have nothing better to do than b****.
  19. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 25, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) We disagree. No problem. Thanks for getting your awful response approved. Basically you dont think any player is clean, does that include Uribe?
  20. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 24, 2008 -> 07:57 AM) why can't our hitters put the bat on the ball against left-handed pitching? it makes absolutely no sense. with a mostly right-handed lineup, left-handers are what this team should hit more easily, not right-handers. Are you talking about Saunders? Cause nobody has been able to hit him.
  21. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 24, 2008 -> 03:41 AM) Tyrus and Rose together would be a lot of fun to watch. I can not wait to see what is on the horizon. Tyrus has great potential. He can sky over big men and also is showing a decent outside touch from the baseline. If he can consistently knock those shots down and play the two man game with Rose, the rest of the team will feed off of that game.
  22. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 23, 2008 -> 11:41 AM) I have questions about Quentin. When I heard players refer to him as "Little Canseco," even if he does look like him and he does stand like him it certainly evokes steroids. Is he? I make no allegation. I simply have suspicions. thats pretty much one of the worst posts you've ever made. Ignoring that Q is producing about what his minor league numbers and pedigree have suggested, and going off of not even a common nickname for him as your reason for suspicion is pretty much beyond retarded.
  23. They just have to take Rose. Leader, new era at PG, floor general, playmaker, makes bigs better. They just have to.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ May 22, 2008 -> 05:42 PM) Seconded...i was jumping up and down as well. Even though i hate him, Farmers was pretty good too.
