  1. Dude, he was playing well and could have broken a finger at BP or something, chill with your remarks.
  2. f***!!!! He was playing well. Any details on the injury? Why arent we calling someone else up? Sweeney, Terrero? I guess Erstad in LF and leading off now?
  3. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/na...-home-headlines creepy insight.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 02:26 PM) He'd be a sick bastard if he put a picture like that of his sister online. or would I........
  5. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) Freddy's first start is PPD again. I am starting to doubt the existance of Freddy. They have s***ty weed in philly.
  6. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 11:31 AM) I saw this yesterday, ya gotta love bosox fans The funny thing is that on SC last night, they made a big deal out of how the guy didnt care about being hit with the pizza and everyone lived happily ever after. Apparently they didnt see the footage of the guy telling him to get his pussy ass over here.
  7. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) This is BS... the cold is used as an excuse for Conteras not being able to get loose, yet its only helping John Danks? Cold effects hitters Cold effects pitchers I never want cold to be used as an argument on this board again. lol He also started against two of the top teams in the entire MLB against two of the top pitchers.
  8. I wouldnt boo Sosa. Thank you for making the cubs so crappy and look hilarious when they traded your sorry ass. For your contribution to the laughing stock of baseball we call the cubs, we SALUTE YOU.
  9. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 10:46 PM) Good point, but you'd bring in a boatload of money hosting super bowls, ff's, and college bowls. You would have to think something could be worked out, perhaps. We would all benefit, but you know they wouldnt let it get done. Unless there was a serious college team in town, we are pretty much stuck with the temp stadium. Of course afterwards I beleive they are turning it into a renovated olympic park thing.
  10. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 08:46 PM) s***, this ain't a bad idea, specifically the FF and Bowls part. If they are going to have to build a stadium anyway, might as well kill 2+ birds with one stone, if at all possible. Having FF's, super bowls, and college bowls here would be sweet. Damn that was a fantastic idea. The only problem is that they are only building a temporary stadium, as a permanent one would make Soldier field and many others in the city worthless for parts of the year. Whose money does that subtract from? They should have put a retractable roof on soldier field in the first place.
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 07:36 PM) IMO he should be starting and hitting 9th. If not, he should be in AAA getting at bats everyday, this is especially true if he's not even going to get into games as a defensive replacement, in say oh...the 9th inning of a game in Oakland. He is being used so wrong right now, it's ridiculous. Exactly. Apparently he isnt going to start though ,so he should be in AAA, and Terrero should be the 4th OF'er
  12. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 06:23 PM) Trade Ozzie and Anderson to the Cubs for Piniella and Pie. Ugh, Pinella is horrific and Pie is a bust.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 06:16 PM) Chris Rongey is on Chicago Tribune Live right now, in case you haven't gotten your daily dose of idiocy. FYI, before he got the job, it was well known in his social circle that he knew nothing about sports epecially baseball, he just has a good radio voice. To top that off, hes a cubs fan.
  14. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 05:25 PM) 7 Sorry again.
  15. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 05:00 PM) Thome has been coming on ok of late. His RBI opps havent been many, but he hasnt capitalized on too many of them He almost has as many RBI's as at-bats. He has been on base more than half the times he came to the plate. Im sorry my generalization didnt prove true in the 5 RBI chances he has had.
  16. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:50 PM) RISP: .400/.571/1.000/1.571 7 PA, 5 BA, 4 RBI's Quit making stuff up. Wow, what did I make up?
  17. QUOTE(Top Notch @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:42 PM) http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=67f_1176750363&p=1 Thats so grim.
  18. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 03:35 PM) http://clemson.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=664224 9:00 p.m. ESPN North Carolina at Ohio State Looking forward to see a whole lot of this
  19. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:23 PM) true, of course the one time i was locked out at 2 am there was no one there and i had to sleep on the steps. Hahaha.
  20. It scares me that they may think the original shooter got away.
  21. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:16 PM) It doesn't matter. he's ineligible for the draft until '08, I believe. Ah, I didnt know that. We picked him in the 19th last time i believe, but he fell because he wasnt supposed to sign. With his performance in college I figured he would be high up, but I wasnt sure if it was first round.
  22. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:17 PM) telling people to stay away from an area with a crazy shooter shouldn't be that hard. i have to say, U of I's got a one up in the dorms, you guys have so many places you need to swipe your key card and isn't it 24/7? At missouri its only after 11 pm, and after the first door you are in. Heres the thing. I had the swipe cards in my dorm as well. But all you need is someone to hold the door for you and thats it. Even in my condo there are people who will let anyone in who looks like they know where they are going.
  23. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) He could always pull a Jeff Francouer in order to play with his brother. Is Jordan a first round lock at this point?
  24. So now the report is that in the dorm there were two victims, both in the same room. This looks to be a pre-meditated attack on these two students IMO. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) It would still be very, very difficult. It would be like trying to shut down a city of 30,000 people. I can't imagine how they'd even attempt to accomplish this here at U of I. Something along the lines of a tornado warning. Loud, obnoxious, and widespread.
  25. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:07 PM) yeah...chaos. this is real scary. If I were to die from outside forces i'd like to at least know that it was because of a choice i made to put myself in danger, not going to class or sitting in my dorm room. This is real scary, in that sense. Even in a car there is that sense, but sitting in class, despite the times you wish you were dead than listen to the lecture. I would like to think that if I was in this situation, that I would have tried to attack the guy who was shooting. Most likely I would have tried to run and got shot though.
