Corpseball with the win, nice outing by the pen. Also, please keep batting BA against RHP. -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) I'm a BA backer, but time is running out for him. Maybe if they would f***ing bat him against RHP.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:18 PM) Instead of trying to hit the dramatic home run, maybe Konerko should be trying to hit a line drive. Thome and Konerko were trying to go yard instead of driving in the runs in that situation. This is why we have sucked over the last 2 weeks with men in scoring position. All he needed to do was lace one into RF. Also Cintron should have been running on that single anyway.

I would say that our offense should have at least 5 runs by now, so im not really putting that much blame on FG at this point.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) Here's my program... a morning snack. Usually never a "breakfast". Then I snack on sunflower seeds most of the day - drinking a ton of water - and eating a big, late lunch (usually 2ish). Then I rarely ever eat dinner, working out when I get home on mostly an empty belly. I've been told a million times I should eat 4 small meals a day, but I just don't have the time. Maybe I'll try to get back into the 4am running schedule. if it will get me better results I'm all for it. If I was to change your sched and make it easier for you with better results. I would say morning run, light breakfast under 200 cals, decent lunch around 12, dinner around 6, doesnt matter what size, then nothing but water the rest of the night.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Seriously...? I used to get up at 4 and run, but now usually do it at night. Why is it more effective in the morning? Wow.. I down 120 just at work. I can easily drink 8 20 oz bottles from the time I get here to the time I get home. Then at least a sport bottle while running, then I take a glass to bed with me. Amazingly, I rarely get up in the middle of the night. Steff, Its been said that doing cardio after sleep on the most empty a stomach can be is the best for burning calories and fat. Being that I am not a morning person, I do it right after work before dinner when my stomach is relatively empty.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) The fact that most of their lives they are discriminated against, ridiculed, ostracized, and even physically abused because of their sexual orientation. Lets face it, many gays have a much more difficult life than a straight person. So what if they have a day to show off their pride? There are many different groups that face the same discrimination as well, and thats why we have black history month etc. Being gay has become alot more accepted, and even popular in mainstream media these days, so I am not sure how much this is still a HUGE issue IMO. I do like the birdcage however.

QUOTE(T R U @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) Peanut butter is great.. dunno if ide be eating PB&J's a lot though.. I usually eat just plain peanut butter sandwiches.. Aside from Cardio, a healthy diet will almost be MORE important than the cardio portion.. Chicken and fish is loaded with good protein, I wouldnt eat a ton of red meats.. Pretty much, all I eat is Tuna, Chicken, Turkey, Peanut Butter, and protein shakes.. I usually go through a case of water every 2 weeks, and for the most part thats all I drink except some occasions Other than Beer if I go out, water is all I consume.

QUOTE(T R U @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) theres no real reason to keep it separate.. its not going to have any negative effects except fatigue depending on which one you are doing first.. Just remember that cardio is almost always more effective in the morning. I like to do cardio+some circuit or ab and core training on tues, thurs.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) Unless you are gay and speak from experience I'm not sure how you can make that determination.. Its my belief, and im not trying to impose it on anyone here, so I am not sure why everyone wants to argue my opinion. You have yours, and I have mine. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) Let's see, I have two choices here: 1) Choose to be gay so that I can get ridiculed, become ostracized, etc. 2) Choose to be straight so that I can blend in with the the other 90% of the population. You're telling me that people actively choose option #1? That's a bunch of bulls***. Once again, Its what I believe from my background and my acceptance of more a nurture vs nature philosophy. Your reasoning of course makes it back up your point, but at the same time there are straight kids who are ridiculed for nothing close to sexual orientation, whether it is musical tastes, being in the band, there are many things that kids are ridiculed for, and there are also people they identify with, and then adhere to many of their beliefs as well.

Cassell looks a bit like Scott Elarton.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) Good, because we all know their big league squad has plenty of talent. Thats one of the reasons the the cubs blow. What a horrible idea, especially for aguy who has a better future in football.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 03:00 PM) Sort of a funny comment coming from a person whose avatar shows two women tounguing each other. Thats not gay, thats hot.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 01:57 PM) Choice? Yes, choice. I do not agree with the notion of being born gay, I believe thats its an active choice. Im not trying to say im against being gay, if someone chooses to do it, thats fine with me. I just dont agree with it. Sometimes you have to agree to disagree.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) Man I am calling this draft pretty well...said we'd take a catcher pretty early and there it is. Of course when you said that, you misspelled catcher, so it didnt count.
-
QUOTE(quickman @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:22 PM) Join the club You hate all prospects anyway, doesnt count.

That edwards has a nice slide step, if that makes it any better.

QUOTE(ptatc @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) Kind of wierd watching the videos of the last two picks. The lefty throws more over thr top and the righty throws more 3/4s. Usually it's the other way around. They both have quik motions and hide the ball well. where can I grab a link to those?
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) I don't really blame the Sox for drafting finesse guys. Since when have we actually been able to develop power arms? The only power pitcher we've had in the last 5 years was a cast-off from the Angels organization (and now Thornton, who's from the Seattle organization). We have had a couple of mid-90's pitchers. Honestly, the only real arm that has developed from our drafting under this regime is BMAC, who was sorta a reach.

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) I worry about our drafting. talked to a guy I know from the Sally League last night and he said that Kannapolis, which is something like 12 and 42, is the worst team he has seen in the league in six years and doesn't have a single big-league prospect. At the same time, our AAA team dominates all comers.
