f***ing detoilet tied it

I just dont understand how we can miss fastballs like we have today. All this team can hit is fastballs.
-
How is it that Thome routinely cannot catch up to a fastball?

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) He's 1-6 with a couple walks in Texas. Scary that it is considered the beginning of a rhythm. I don't think it is going to affect him much. Hopefully he'll come right back tomorrow and really start hitting the ball well. the numbers dont tell anything. Any person who watches alot of baseball knows his at bats have looked great.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) Rock, don't forget City View Tavern. He will like it, so will you. Small but great place. Cool little deck overlooking the river and downtown Cincy, 403 Oregon St. in the Mt. Adams area, but it's downhill from the old Rookwood Pottery. Have a mettwurst or a cheeseburger and a draft of Barrelhouse. Fantastic little place. will do. I will be the one in either an 83 fisk, or Buehrle all star t shirt. Always with the 83 cap.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) Sort of like a male Gail Fischer He is a great guy nevrtheless. Oh s*** that made me laugh my ass off. He pm'ed me, Im sure we will have a cold one.

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 04:51 PM) If you go, watch out for those Underaged Drunk Trixies who are really 26. BTW, it was in the paper and also mentioned on Chicago Sports Tonite that she was 26, just so you know, flipflop ex-Cub fan. For the rest of you, watch for quickman at the Hofbrauhaus and also the Mt. Adams Bar and Grill and the City View Tavern, hopefully he can make all of those. I will also be at hofbrau and Mt adams bar and grill. I dont get your underaged post, but bring em on.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) So you're saying he was a draft and follow? turns out. Did anyone read that last article, pretty good.

John Lithgow was never in favor of it

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) Well, Righties are hitting .201 against Padilla, and lefties are hitting .345 against him. Yeah, well BA cant hit lefties. Plus I worry about the break taking him out of the rythmn he has started to gain.
-
Who is going to Cincy this weekend? What games? What bar are we frequenting before/after the game?
-
Meh, no reason to take BA out when he has been getting good at bats.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) Any chance Ichiro gets traded? I heard it's what he wants, because he's got the urge to play in the World Series and the Mariners don't have the horses to make that race. Seattle is known for getting rid of its stars. Think it'll happen -- this season? I would trade the farm, replace POds with him, and have the best arms in the game at the corners.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) Right Now, Scott is on pace to make about 17 errors in 162 games. He has 3x as many errors as any other Left Fielder in the AL. He has as many errors as Soriano and 1 fewer than Adam Dunn. That means nothing. Have you seen the league leaders in errors at other positions right now? Come on man, talk about really cherry picking some stats. 3x as many erros, you are talking about a difference of 4 errors. That can happen in a weekend, s*** in a game.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) And yet, he's stuck in the NL. not for long methinks.
-
QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) my problem with pods defense is that he consistently blows the same play tell me if I'm wrong, but I can remember 5-6 plays this year where he was ranging to his right, stuck out his glove and just dropped it thats ok for a season, but its mid-june; he needs extra practice to fix it Some good players make over 20 errors a season. 5-6 plays? fine with me.

Looks like we drafted him in the 20th round in 1993.

Tribune boasts Cell Phone as Breakthrough Technology

I love the tension between the hangar supporters and the bashers. -
heres an article on him as well. http://www.floridatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/.../603050329/1002 looks like 312 walks in 686 innings in the minors.

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) So down the right field line? Maybe across from the Steak Pita stand? Yup, quesadilla, Burrito, and super taco. Also beef and corned beef.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) 94 mph slider?!?! that sounded strange to me. How is this is guy not on a team with a nasty splitter and a 94 mph slider.

QUOTE(zach23 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) http://www.midwaybaseball.org I haven't heard if they are going to do a fall league this year. It all depends on field availability. I do know they are planning an offshoot league for guys 38 and over and hope to play some games this year in August after the regular league wraps up. I can talk to the guys that run our team and see if they plan to add any players. Our team is the Cardinals. cool, being that im def younger than that, im more into the 25 and up leagues.

QUOTE(daa84 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) ive heard much about the corned beef do not address the beef as just another snack. Its dinner sized. A huge bowl of chips, 2 pickles and a sandwich. 6 bucks.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) Gotta agree here. Another thing is Bmac is being used pretty regularly now which wasn't happening before and he was getting hit hard. Now that he's getting regular work, he's pitching much, much better. BMAC would be great as the Shields role. He has 4 solid pitches that he can throw for strikes. Last night he really didnt even have to use his out pitch.

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 10:07 AM) I second this question. Where the hell is the super taco? What do they put on the super taco that makes it "super"? Anyone who loves the super taco, knows not to tell you where it is. Its in the same stand as the corned beef though. Both are awesome.
