  1. Is there some sweet pleasure the people in NY and Boston get from voting in undeserving players to the ASG?
  2. T-mobile has to have some of the worst customer service people in the industry. I signed up for the ezpay system where it deducts your payment from your credit card. After 2 months of easy payments passed, I got a text telling me my bill was overdue for the next month. After calling back to a rep, they assured me that I never signed up for the ezpay service. I then pointed out that they had already deducted the money the two pervious months. They said that maybe I paid via check over the phone. After much arguing with them they were determined that I never used the Ezpay system, and I would have to pay the late charges. After yet another BBB report on them I was finally refunded my late fees. Of course this month, my ezpay didnt work again. They are horrible.
  3. Now is the time, to pick up a horrible pitcher.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 20, 2006 -> 11:21 AM) My Major League Baseball package on Comcast was out yesterday and I called and they "sent a signal to my box" saying that it would work. Well it didn't. I called back and they can't send someone out until Friday morning to check on it. Plus my high speed internet signal has weakened as well. They refunded me for the days that I won't have my baseball games though, which is probably only a buck a day. Bastards. Comcast double billed me for services, they are still "looking into it" Callaway golf clubs has one of the best customer service depts I have ever seen. They sent me a new golf bag no questions asked, very nice people.
  5. Thats why I never do those repairs there anymore. I went in for a coolant flush one time, and then had to go back due to no coolant in my car. That was the last of them Also went to a merlins brake place when I was in college and they forgot to tighten the break pads on my car. Never again there either.
  6. Weaver sucks. Why would now be the time to pick up a s***ty player.
  7. Atlanta wont move Andrew Jones, but if they wanted to, I would give them whatever they needed. The cubs will move Pierre, simply because he is an FA at the end of the season. They should move Prior and Wood as well if they were smart and try to rebuild for 2008.
  8. Man, who did Kalapse bribe?
  9. Myspace is for creeps and people who lack social skills IMO.
  10. Oh, and I was surprised how much some reds fans hate Adam Dunn
  11. The cubs would really replenish their farm system and make a nice run at building a champ if they would trade some of their "name" players. Also Cle should basically unload their older players since they have many farmhands (sowers etc) who should be up next year.
  12. QUOTE(beautox @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) At least they're not making threads about the '08 sox.... that would be stupid.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) You can make up for not walking quite enough if you can hit for average, which Gooch does. On an ideal team, Gooch obviously does not hit leadoff, but this team has nobody that would even be a consideration to leadoff other than him. If Pods were to leave, we'd have to find somebody else on the open market to leadoff, which is the biggest problem here. A lead off hitter's measure of worth is in OBP. Not batting avg. He needs to be on base frequently, whether walking or hitting. Gooch has a higher BA, but a lower OBP, plus he is not a real stealing or bunting for base hit threat. He is not a leadoff hitter
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) Pods is overpriced right now, even if he made the league minimum...and Gooch is the only thing on this team resembling an everyday leadoff guy besides Pods. How does he resemble a lead off hitter? Even with PODs slumping he is getting on base with more frequency than Gooch.
  15. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) All of those are silly except the Iguchi leadoff idea. He wouldn't be half bad there. Yeah, not really a stealing threat, low OBP, lots of K's, barely walks. Hmmm sounds perfect.
  16. I love how we predict these trades. Trade from NY for Garcia. Hahaha.
  17. QUOTE(S720 @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) http://fantasysports.yahoo.com/analysis/news?slug=skinny_061906&prov=yhoo&type=lgns&league=fantasy/mlb You guys might as well forget about fantasizing having Crawford on our team. It is a beautiful dream though. Number of top line prospects, done, Fields, Broadway, whoever. Top starter, s*** give them anyone but MB, count and BMAC.
  18. So far in this thread: Pods is overpriced Gooch is a good lead off hitter Ozuna should start in the OF Sweeney shoudl hit 2nd Fields should play LF Some SS will bat lead off for us Wow, people are so bored on off days.
  19. I would trade anyone but BMAC for Crawford. Trade the whole minor league system for him as far as im concerned.
  20. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 09:34 AM) I agree, but there was a play this weekend where Pods was calling it, he was under it and set, and Anderson cut in front of him. I understand it's the CF's ball, but he also has to understand that it's a lot easier for a corner OF to catch it if he's set then if he's running. Think: Bad News Bears.
  21. All the reds fans could do was half assed chant "used to be cubs fans"
  22. I think the Tigers are playing their asses off expecting to be several games ahead, especially when we have just played the 1st place ALW team and the 2nd place NLC team. When they see that we are still staying right behind them, they will start to press.
  23. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 12:27 AM) I still don't believe they knew how much of a loss Coco Crisp was. He really got them going in that lead-off spot. Nothing against Micheals (or even Sizemore leading off) but that was a HUGE lost. Crisp-Sizemore-Blake would have killed us (and every other AL team) defensively. Good point about his loss, but he didnt bat leadoff, he batted #2
