Who is going to be the next no name ex-sox reliever to mouth off?

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) Paid. This is why the Urinal is always "sold out" even when there are empty seats. By the end of the season, thousands of cubs tickets are thrown away, not used.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) Yeah, I checked those out as well. http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/NASAp...d=phi&ym=200404 how awesome are those opposite field blasts?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) The question is, what do I need on my team? If I have Frank Thomas already hitting 3rd, but no one hitting in front of him, maybe I take Rock, because it'll make my team a lot better. But if I have Pods leading off and a Konerko to hit 3rd but no other big bats, maybe I take Baines to give PK some protection and drive in more runs. Im saying overall, teams and lineups being a non-factor.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) Rock .330 average, .429 OBP, and 50 SB's? Baines never had that kind of a season. TOTALLY different players, but give me Rock. Think more like 70 sb's and 123 runs. But yes, different players. Baines could give you .309 .361 25 hrs and 100 RBIS

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 12:17 PM) Really? While im a baseball junkie, I think getting my 27 game plan in the mail will put me over the edge. Dont tease me Tony

Heres a question, would you rather have Harold Baines in his prime, or Rock Raines in his prime?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) How often does Raines get to put a steal or hit & run sign on himself? He can at least try to coach guys away from games on how to actually read a pitcher, but that doesn't tell me much about what he's doing in the game. He times the pitchers for the runner and lets them know if he sees an indicator of when to go. Pods never once had a steal sign put on, he has a green light. But rock had aot to do with the coaching of him as well as recognizing pick off moves.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 11:05 AM) We did that exercise every wednesday morning when I was on the swim team in H.S. sounds like they were doing plyometrics. I did that alot when i was on the basketball team. How he fell and broke his hand? I have no idea. -
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) yes, one was hit so well it must still be in the air. when it lands, will the number be updated? Can I get a ruling here?

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) How much difference does a 1st base coach actually make? Well when you first base coach has 808 career stolen bases with 6 consecutive years of over 70 SB's, I would think having him at first base would be a benefit.

here you go boys. These videos should get everyone jacked and ready to go http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=40749

QUOTE(rudylaw @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 10:31 AM) We can have a fast base stealer at first telling our guys how and when to steal or we can have an old slow guy that can not stay awake. HMMMMMMM I am going to have to go with Rock on this one. Who would you rather have as a hitting coach Frank Thomas or Royce Clayton? I dont understand this move at all. Rock was a GREAT base stealer in his day, much better than anyone on the sox in recent history. He has alot to teach guys, and also recognizes moves and timing better than most. There has to be another reason behind it.

haha, so many things wrong with that

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 09:58 AM) Is that like this? Fool me once, shame on you Fool me Twice, shame on me Fool me three times, Ill never be fooled again My buddy dropped at least 4 grand on his Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 2 years he owned it in college. I've had 3 consecutive jeeps. Started out with a cherokee, terrible build, then had a 5.9 Grand Cherokee, nothing but electronic issues. Now I have a Grand Cherokee limited. It really is a great car when its running, amazing 4 wheel drive, comfort, no backseat. But the damn thing has been in the shop many times, had to have the drivetrain replaced, has issues with cupping of the tires. Its just a pain.

Damn, I gotta go there.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 07:44 AM) You see what happens when I go to the game? The first Bulls game I go to in the UC(only been to one game ever, in 93 playoffs vs Atlanta) and the Bulls win by 30. Now everyone needs to start throwing me down free tickets and the Bulls will win out for the rest of the season Hey!!! I was at the game as well. I will tell you what, Gordon looked pretty impressive all around last night, but Malik Allen was pretty impressive on the boards late and taking decent shots.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) I was watching some of his homer replays with the Phillies. Filthy. he has much better swings if you check out the 2004 highlights
