QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 1, 2014 -> 05:30 PM) This should fix when Chrome moves to 64bit, but as to why Firefox is doing it I don't know...maybe because of it's lack of split process? Firefox is a memory hog. If you look at the heap it's very clear. I never keep it on.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 31, 2014 -> 11:42 AM) No, let's give him 3 carries or whatever in the 2nd half. This is just me, but after last night's struggle, I think they should try something different at QB. Maybe grab a safety or something and let him start. Mix it up a bit. They have a throwing QB. Of course once they lost 2 key defenders to injury LSU started to move the ball. -
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 31, 2014 -> 09:50 AM) Does anyone think Lindstrom or any of the other relievers go today as well? Hahn is trading assets for relievers so I wouldn't think we would deplete what we need the most.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 10:54 PM) Winston didn't look good tonight. USC and their new offense was very impressive. I know it's very early, but there doesn't seem to be a team in the country that is leaps and bounds better than everyone else. Georgia was impressive to me. -

QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 05:21 PM) Northwestern showin some life in the 2nd half, making things very interesting. Andddd they drop an easy 4th down conversion..... Well damn, valiant effort by the Cats to make things interesting. Nice effort but really really dumb plays at times. Almost looked not ready to play. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 30, 2014 -> 04:40 PM) Sam I still want him on the Bears. Not cause he's gay, but cause Mizzou. He was also one of their best D lineman this preseason. I'd take him. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 12:46 PM) They might beat ND too. This is a pretty good Navy team. Navy has 3 of their 12 total wins against ND in the last 7 years, they've had their best success lately for sure. I believe we are working on a 14 point spread but do have the advantage of having several coaches who have worked for service academies or have faced Navy before. -

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 11:32 AM) A pool that crowded is only fun when drunk. That said, that day drinking looked glorious. I believe that picture disproves what movies tell us the college population looks like.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 11:16 AM) Why are we discussing acquiring infielders? That ranks 7th on the Sox priority list behind bullpen, starting pitching, outfielder, catcher, DH and hot dog vendor. Here is the current 2015 IF depth chart: 1B: Abreu, Gillaspie 2B: Sanchez, Semien SS: Ramirez, Semien 3B: Gillaspie, Semien There is no need there. Unless 1-2 of the aforementioned guys are sent out in a trade for a SP or LF, then there aren't going to be any IF acquisitions. (Also, not meaning to short Semien in any way. He could very well win the 2B job, and even if he doesn't, I expect he would get plenty of starts at 2B/3B.) Where are you playing Micah Johnson?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 11:00 AM) I'm going with PTAC's take on things until proven otherwise. The Cubs are going to be under HUGE pressure to bring in a top-line starting pitcher. We'll undoubtedly have a new LFer, but expecting the equivalent of Shields, Russell Martin, Melky Cabrera and an established/veteran closer in one offseason is just asking for tons of disappointment if you're a White Sox fan and have watched free agent markets come and go over the years. The fact of the matter is THIS is the offseason to do it, as we SHOULDN'T have that protected first round draft pick again. Have to strike now, rather than extending the window for competing (and risking a Sale injury) out another year into the uncertain future. LOL, take his view if you want, I know for a FACT the Sox will be spenders when its time, and big ones at that. That is why they are focused on as many cost controlled assets as possible. The Sox are in a position to spend just as much as the Cubs.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 28, 2014 -> 10:49 AM) Sure, but the big picture also magically changes again (in that 2015-18 window) when you add Scherzer/Shields/Lester to Rizzo, Castro, Arrieta, Rondon and all their other prospects. While the Sox magically add nothing, right?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 03:41 PM) The fiscally smart thing to do is to pay things off with the highest interest rates first. Also keep in mind that mortgage interest is tax deductible. Yep, also making those payments helps your credit

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 27, 2014 -> 11:48 AM) I wouldn't be shocked if you could, to be honest. You can play blackjack in the damn pools now. But seriously, you're talking about a two-hour window here...there are plenty of folks who carve out 2 hours to do things besides gamble...restaurants/shows/pool/shopping...you're taking this a bit to the extreme. No, I said personally I wouldnt want to, which is 100% accurate. I am lucky I know what time of the day it is when I am there. And I LOVE watching games in the sportsbooks or something like Emeril Stadium. -
