QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 07:57 PM) Well Cody made the wrong move IMO. Caleb will go after Cody when he gets the chance I dont think so. Caleb would go after Jocasta and Victoria first. It was a little too early to get out caleb, however if Frankie, Zach or Derrick wins HOH this week Caleb is getting the backdoor.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:39 PM) You need to add the Tigers from 2006-2014 to your signature quote about the ALCD. Yeah but they have a huge payroll.
  3. QUOTE (TRU @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:28 PM) Yeah but Garcia isn't an overrated p**** It's also baseball.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:35 PM) When Gordon struggles, that hitch in his swing we've been talking about for years becomes more pronounced and it's harder and harder for him to catch up with quality fastballs. He's more likely to get hot against a Bruce Chen type (although I think he was 2/30 coming into yesterday against him) than someone with higher-quality stuff like Shields or even Guthrie. He's been atrocious in the 7th and 8th spot. Moving him around to get him out of a funk is fine, especially when his only upside is trade bait. And also, nobody else hit today, so not sure Beckham was the issue.
  5. QUOTE (1dog @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:17 PM) It's insane. For those that think Robin has any clue whatsoever, how do you justify this? Having him in the lineup is bad enough, but batting him 2nd is just ludicrous. Trade him for a mule.....and shoot the mule. So you are under the impression he's so dumb he puts Beckham there without knowing any better?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:11 PM) Sounds like Cody pupped out on it this week. I hate HOHs who pass up big moves because they don't want blood on their hands. Cody is in a strong alliance that would've had his back. And Caleb stalking Amber is so legit it's scary. Sometimes they edit things a certain way, but nope. I think it was the right call since Caleb wouldnt target people in their alliance per say. It's got to happen though, and soon.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:09 PM) Out of town this week, so haven't been able to watch much. However, Beckham batting 2nd (one of the worst hitters in baseball over the last month or so) in front of Abreu is just crazy. Maybe it's a sign Micah Johnson will be up soon and batting 2nd? That's the only reason I can think of. Also, knowing the Sox luck with players performing prior to the deadline, Viciedo will probably be out for the next 10 days with this strain. They are literally moving him around to get him to hit. Nothing much else there.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 04:00 PM) Not so sure about that today. DJ now saying you can't expect Putnam to lock down the opponents every game, haha. On that play it was, he jammed the s*** out of the batter.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 03:59 PM) DJ and Farmer are blaming it on the fact that catchers can't block the plate anymore...although the replay of course showed that it was simply knocked out of the glove by the knee of Moustakas. Rongey will probably stick with that excuse for Tyler, though. Yeah right. First of all why are you dropping your glove to the foot/knee anyway when you are 4 feet away from the plate. You learn that s*** in little league.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) I read that he said he's running the house. He's delusional. Beast cowboy my ass. I like Derrick and Donny. I'd lile to see Donny win HOH tomorrow and put Derrick, Cody. And Frankie on the defensive though for fun. He thinks people are making Beast Mode Cowboy tshirts outside of the house. He's pathetic. I hope they backdoor him next week.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 03:55 PM) Of course. Eaton throws him out by five feet and the knee knocks the ball out of Flowers' glove. Horrible technique by Flowers. Everyone else did their job, great pitching great throw, s*** job by the catcher who is covered in body armor.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 03:22 PM) And it was Hummel. Timberwolves PR @Twolves_PR · 39s Due to overwhelming demand, we'll go ahead & spill the news now: The #Twolves have signed forward Robbie Hummel. Welcome back, Robbie! Announcing he actually has two knees would be more interesting.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 03:33 PM) Why wasn't Ramirez at the bag? Could have had the DP...but Beckham couldn't go to 2nd. Ramirez was shifted too far away from the bag for Perez? Surkamp vs. Ibanez. Uh-oh. Sox baseball this year means a 150ish hitter will get a clutch RBI in the late innings against our relievers. Wow, it actually worked... Ventura is a genius
  14. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 12:53 PM) I refuse to believe this is anything other than getting Cleveland to up their offer. Fine, still helps the Bulls.
  15. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 12:24 PM) I'm not a Love fan, simple as that. Is he a top 5, not IMO. Top 10 yeah, but as great as he is offensively, he's bad defensively. I also think he's a bit of a statpadder, so sue me. His great stats haven't exactly translated to wins, right? Not a Love fan but a Bennett fan. Ok
  16. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) I'd have to think about it if Bennett was offered for hinrich... But his SUMMER LEAGUE NUMBERS!!!!
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 11:09 AM) Man I'm being criticized for both over rating and under rating Wiggins now, ha. He is a potential superstar with improvement in his offensive game. Given how athletic he is, it's easy to see that he can get there. The same can't be said for anyone the Bulls offer. I don't know why anyone would disagree with that. Depends if you think athleticism as a wing is the only path to being a superstar. He could easily be an also ran with that same talent if the other aspects dont develop. Bunch of question marks in this deal as far as I am concerned, and I have NO idea how Bennett all of a sudden became valuable.
  18. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 09:46 AM) If you played in high school what do you wish your HS coach taught you? I wish I would have picked up a club in HS or earlier. Never really got into golf until college. I am jealous of the guys who played seriously that far back.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 11:06 AM) Exactly for this reason, it amazes me that teams allow their stars to play pick up games in any sport. I'm guessing he may have gotten a phone call after that one.
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 10:44 AM) The top 5 pick stuff for Mirotic is from France Franchilla who over rates every international prospect ever because, well, it's his job. It's like asking Hawk about Gordon Beckham. I'm sure it won't stop that from being repeated ad nauseum here, but no one was offering their top 5 pick for Mirotic. I do believe he could have been top 10, maybe. Right now he's a 3rd string power forward. Cleveland offers the better package as long as they include Wiggins. He's a potential locked up superstar. Thats what every team in the league craves. Gibson is nice but 30 and McDermott and Mirotic might be good too but you can't pass on Wiggins. Waiters is decent enough to add some value. Bennett is likely garbage, but they have the Heat number 1 too which should be worth more than a Bulls pick. Some people would say you are overrating Wiggins at this time. So nobody really knows what types of players these guys will be. The Bulls offer is very very good and at the very least pressure Cleveland to give up too much which is good for the Bulls anyway.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 10:09 AM) One that unfortunately falls well short of Wiggins. But I'm down for another hype train. Choo choo! Well short? Meh. Mirotic is not exactly a slouch.

Caleb may go down as one of the most pathetic players in BB history
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) Sort of like when Jerry Krause was saying he saw Tyson Chandler as a future 20/10 guy when he traded a 20/10 guy to get him. Like you said, Wiggins may or may not be better than Love eventually, but considering Minnesota is going to lose Love anyway and Wiggins will be playing for rookie scale, I don't see how Minnesota turns down Cleveland if they really do offer him up in trade. Potentially he is IMO the best player that has been mentioned available for Love. Minny would be stupid to not take that deal, moronic. However I think Cleveland also think they can get Love for bench garbage and some possible picks.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 23, 2014 -> 09:02 AM) Agreed. It is much different being "the man" on a really bad team. It is quite another to be the 2nd or 3rd on a really good team. I think Love makes them better today, but I think Wiggins is better in the long run. He seems like the type of player that makes his team better, versus Love who isn't. That's placing a bet that may not pay out. Love is already a top player in the league, there is no guarantee Wiggins will ever reach that level.
