  1. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 03:42 PM) They don't have refurb-repair models left? Usually, they have a ton of those. Aside from it being colorful, the 5c is actually a better phone. Has a better front camera, and larger battery. Did you use AppleCare+ to do this? Verizon-> Asurion
  2. So finally filing a claim about my cracked Iphone 5 and since its discontinued I can only be given the 5c as a replacement. Kind of f***ed up if you ask me. I dont want a lime green phone.
  3. That does look nice, love to check it out in stores.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) Ha, I wish. Wasn't a chance in hell he'd even hint at something. He is just as anxious about it as you fans are. Coaches dont know much until the kid calls them right before they announce.
  5. I saw his comment about his son asking about his friendship with Matta. Awesome.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 11:14 AM) They will easily lose 60 games this year. Sample size, people. They are literally trying to as an org.
  7. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) http://www.hammerandrails.com/2013/10/31/5...an-late-morning Gems
  8. Giving this a try http://www.hellonomad.com/products/chargekey-iphone5
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 09:33 AM) Sports agents were paying him. USC looking away was what got them in bigger trouble. Thats about as close as it gets. Nowadays schools are smarter and you pay someone who is close to the kid like with Cam Newton.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 03:41 AM) Has the NCAA in the last 20 years ever gotten a school for paying a player? I mean making a direct payment? I can't recall one incident. If coaches are paying players they have the system effectively rigged. I guess Wiggins could use the 800,000 now, but I don't know why they can't just wait until after this season when his shoe contract will kick in even before the draft. Reggie Bush.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 01:26 AM) Come on now. Their only loss is to OSU. Well and the screw job in the desert.
  12. passing the ball to the ref instead of your player
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 04:40 PM) LMAO, we drilled a hole in our ceiling to my roomates room and hooked his computer up to our stereo for parties. Cost us a quarter of our rental deposit because we werent very good at patching holes. TOTALLY WORTH IT THOUGH! WE ran speaker wire all over the outside of the house and the roof while using a staple gun. Mostly so we could move the speakers anywhere in the house including outside and on the roof.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 03:06 PM) What?? You are the one that is super jaded and Debbie Downer because you are on some ridiculous crusade against Apple. Now, after like 3 years of feigning boredom with anything Apple, you start celebrating these silly things like the ability to control a projector in your college auditorium. And you expect no one to throw a few barbs at you for that? That is something we did in like 4th grade to the substitute teacher. When you're in college you should be using your phone to hack into the database and change your grades or use it to film girls in the sorority house showering or something. Pandora+Bluetooth stereo's would have been revolutionary when I was in college. The lengths we went to put up music on my creative jukebox and then connect it correctly to a nice soundsystem was time consuming.
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 10:31 AM) Then you'd basically have to require people to have a smartphone or tablet to use their TV. Because a remote that is constantly connected via WiFi or Bluetooth will die pretty quickly. DTV's new remotes use RF.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 10:06 AM) On a serious note (I hope you've noticed that I haven't been serious for the past 20 min), almost every TV still uses IR. Nobody uses a floppy anymore. Can manufacturers make a TV that uses bluetooth instead? Yeah, but it wouldn't make a lot of sense for them considering IR does the job just fine. Actually alot of TV's are using BT nowadays, its especially useful in integrations with things like soundbars and smartphones.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) When I was a news intern, I was sent into media restricted areas with a cell phone to snap pics, record audio, etc Outside of AP photogs, I dont think you'll see many newspaper guys carrying big expensive SLR's these days.
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 09:56 AM) Yeah, this has been my beef for a long time. Individually, none of AJ, Viciedo, or Alexei are necessarily bad players, but putting them together in a lineup created massive problems. Some guys see pitches by hacking, which is fine. But I am not sure we have many if any of those in this lineup.
  19. How did this turn into Apple vs android? Makes no sense.
  20. Just switch to the Hawks next time. It was nice watching them score and score and score.
  21. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 09:27 AM) I agree that money and my wife top a lot of the fun parts of college, but I miss the freedom. Being able to drink all weekend with friends and watch sports without the apprehension/annoyance of having to go back to work on Monday was awesome. I still have nightmares about homework and finals. I prefer work.
  22. The org wants high OBP, yet we fill the roster with free swingers.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 28, 2013 -> 10:12 PM) How's the dating, pick-up scene in college these days? Are the women easy to pick-up if that's your thing? Or are we in a generation of more responsible behavior, i.e., not as much sex? So glad there wasnt much if any social media when I was in college. Also, I miss the party but I really love money much more.
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 08:55 AM) Hah, I know you're joking, but I'll make myself clear. Normal people don't give this much of a s*** about phones. Kids do because its literally all they have.
