  1. QUOTE (farmteam @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 08:23 PM) Goodluck is the one I want the most in this class, for sure. We are def in on him hard. I know we were in on Turner early which gave us an edge but now he's blown up. I'd take either. I also heard that Izzo is still planning on getting Okafor, good luck with that now bro.
  2. Couple of gapper hr's tonight. A guy on my team is like how do you put those in the right spot? The answer: I dont. I try to make solid contact and it just ends up there. IMO whenever you try to aim you dribble a grounder.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 09:16 PM) Perfect night for Exterminators. Two threats gone and McCrae can't play HOH. More like the floater alliance. At this point in the game it's all about the veto. You have to win.
  4. Vlad in his prime was phenomenal. Alot of people are going to forget how athletic the guy was.
  5. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 05:28 PM) Moving has become one of my least favorite things in the world to do. It just f***in sucks no matter what, I'd rather pay for the movers than put myself through that at this point. My thought exactly, I remember how bad it was 8 years ago when it was just me and I didnt even have 70 percent of the s*** I have now. I've decided to use redi-boxes to pack all of my small s*** and hire movers to do the rest. It should take one day and it will be over. Pretty excited to move to a larger place where it will look like I have nothing.
  6. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 02:09 PM) I assume you're saying that because your wife can't help you, eh? I know how that goes... When are you moving? Nah, just cause I have so much stuff after almost 9 years in the same place and I want pro's to do it. Last time I moved I used friends/myself/uhaul. Moving to the FLW historic district in Oak Park.
  7. Anyone use greenbox or redi-box to move before? I've only moved myself previously and thats not an option here. looking for recommendations on the best way to do it.
  8. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:46 PM) I hope you do land Turner, as I think you're the main competition for Goodluck. Stars don't always matter, but if you're pulling in top 50 guys and have a coach that can develop... You're team is putting itself if prime condition to succeed. After the top 50, things get pretty dicey. Yeah, we are all over him too. Most say Turner would be preferred but s*** ill take either for sure. Goodluck looked real good the last time I saw him.
  9. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) Oh yea, IU won't whiff but they have been getting beat thus far for 2014. They're in the thick of it for some top guys so they could recover nicely or get screwed. With them they could have some spots open up by players leaving as well depending on their performance. I'm also waiting on Izzo to pull a few top guys out of his ass.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:31 PM) I'm not disagreeing that having a roster full of 4 and 5 stars consistently is going to give you better results (over the long term) than having 2 and 3 star guys. I meant more than the ratings mean dick when you're talking about the 7th best class versus the 18th best class. Rankings mean nothing in that respect, it's the composition of the team that matters. Gotcha. In bball its weird too because some of those players could be one and done and not be the type of superstar that actually can carry a team to something like the final four (yeah you Koufos and Mullens), however they singlehandedly made the class "top."
  11. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) Um... You do realize the FIRST signing period isn't until November right? We're taking 2-3 guys this year, after reeling in a top 10 class in 2012, and a top 5 class last year. Oh, and in 2011, we pulled in Cody Zeller. That's a 5 star in 3 straight classes... I guess 2010 wasn't so bad either, as we pulled in Oladipo. Indiana's now to the point where they can wait to see who develops through their HS career, then take a commit. But back to how we still have 2 months until the FIRST signing day. IU is bringing in Okonoboh, Robinson, and Whitehead for Hoosier Hysteria (all 5 stars). I'd be willing to bet Indiana pulls in the #1 or #2 class in the Bigten again (Likely behind OSU this year, as Matta is killin' it.) I doubt IU whiffs in 2014. If we pull Turner it will be one of the best classes he's ever had. And 2015 is shaping up already. If IU has room, I'm pretty sure talent will go there unless you guys sink into the abyss again.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:13 PM) Let's all keep in mind too that class rankings/player rankings mean absolute dick when it comes to results. Eh, its been fairly proven that star-value does have correlation to results at least in football. They did a study with draft results as well and there was a pretty good match between high rankings and draft position.
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:04 PM) She was one of the few this season who has actually played the game. She basically carried McCrae to this point but at the same time she is entirely the reason that the target is on their back's now. Her going crazy on Elissa is what got that target put on her and what will ultimately get her eliminated, there was no reason for it. If she just kept her mouth shut in that instance, she'd have a very good chance to win this. McCrae is smart to hide behind her, now he has to latch on to Elisa if he was smart.
  14. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:08 PM) I'm sorry, how many recruits do you guys have for 2014? IU is coming off of back to back top ten classes.....
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 06:56 AM) She sucks. Amanda is one of my favorite players this season in that she is such a good player, but her meltdown was horrible. In the house you know if you are powerful you are going to be a target and you have to defend yourself. It appears on the feeds that she is making some headway. At some point in BB you are going to be a target, and you have to win HOH or (more importantly) veto. Nobody goes through the entire game without almost getting evicted.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 11:48 AM) He has basically zero experience in CF prior to this year right? So anything better than terrible should be viewed as positive? He hit it a bit in the minors, but yeah not a ton. He's such a big guy that it looks like he's plodding when in reality he is covering alot of ground. It's hard to tell how he would perform over a full season.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 11:37 AM) I really haven't had a chance to watch too many games since we've had Avi, how's he looked in cf when he's been out there? Fluid, but I still prefer him in the corner.
  18. QUOTE (Boogua @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 11:10 AM) Rice, Cosby, and Paul won't show up in recruiting rankings because they are transfers. Experience is more important than you seem to be letting on and the 2014-2015 lineup should have a lot of it. True, experience is valuable. This is why we play the games. It will be good to see Illinois back as more competition is better for everyone in bball (unlike football).
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 11:06 AM) Yes, I would imagine being a top team with Egwu and Abrams as seniors pretty much no matter who surrounds them. Nothing wrong with confidence, if anything Groce has brought some of that to the fanbase which is positive for you guys.
  20. QUOTE (Boogua @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 10:53 AM) With the transfers that Groce has brought in, along with the 2013 recruiting class, the 2014-2015 team would absolutely be on par with the top teams of the conference. You're talking about a potential lineup of SR Abrams, redshirt JR Cosby, redshirt SR Rice, FR Cliff Alexander, and SR Egwu. With a bench of two top 40 players and a few top 75 players that would be sophomores among others. That team would be absolutely stacked. I'm not saying that the illini are going to get both snider and cliff, but let's not downplay the impact they would make on that team. That illini team should be close to on par with the top teams WITHOUT snider and cliff that year. You think prior to the 2014 class that Illinois has a lineup on par with what the top teams have been bringing in? I feel like you havent looked at other "rankings" in awhile and are getting caught up in possibly grabbing top guys. More power to ya, but I think you guys are getting quite ahead of yourselves.
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) The guys final on Rivals 2 has a mid 90s, Bulls vs Knicks, type feel. Wes and CT have both folded in final challenges due to lack of endurance before. Also, they arent the greatest at puzzles. I personally think the rookies win.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 07:54 AM) What on earth are you talking about? It was hilarious last night. Sunny - now Sunny is straight up brutal, but The League was great. I thought they were both good, not great. They usually have a ups and downs throughout the seasons so it's never good to judge on one episode.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 09:26 AM) Black + Snider = ??? Black + Snider + Alexander = ??? =Will be close to on par with the top teams in the conference. It's all about sustainability, how well can you recruit year over year, not just one class.
  24. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 07:27 PM) Nope, they can't stop you from owning your own modem. One of those idiots probably lied to him. They are the worst. I'm actually super excited to cancel on them since its been roughly 10 years ive been a customer. Their behavior of overcharging over and over is ridiculous.
  25. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 06:43 PM) You needed to call and renegotiate terms, something they're ALL willing to do. Of course, moving service is another option...which I was going to do recently (even had DtV out here to check things out) the only reason I didn't go with DtV after researching it, is because I'm still relying on Comcast for Internet, and in such a case, the Internet becomes even more expensive. So DtV+Internet service was just way beyond that 149$ I ended up paying after calling them. My brother, who lives across the street from me, is on the exact opposite end of the boat...he's a DtV customer, and had to recently call and threaten to move to Comcast so they'd give him a similar deal, but even with the best deal they offer, because he relies on Comcast for Internet, whatever his Cable bill is, he has to add on about 60$ a month to get the same speed Internet service I'm getting as part of my TV package. Comcast only wins for me, BECAUSE of their Internet. If Google Fiber was available here, I'd probably not have Comcast. Im moving so im switching to dish. It will be 70 bucks a month for tv and 30 for the same internet package I am getting now.
