QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 01:08 PM) Every player has to tee off for half the holes, either odd or even. Ah ok. I would keep the driver out of his hands if I could.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 12:33 PM) mouth cancer instead of lung cancer? have you seen what dip does to guys? it's really f***ed up. I used it as a way to quit smoking then rolled off of it. Throat cancer is no joke.

Keegan Bradley is ON FIRE

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 12:58 PM) It resets on every hole. Player A tees off on all odd holes and Player B tees off on all even holes. Doesn't matter who made the last stroke on the previous hole. WHich is why i dont understand why Tiger played off the tee at all.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 12:39 PM) and thats another thing. in my Educational Foundations classes, the professors urge us to not blame the parents when we become teachers. So if im busting my ass in the classroom doing what I can for the kids, and then the kid goes home to a mom that doesnt care if their kid is gangbanging or hanging out with miscreants, its America's fault for oppressing the minorities for the past hundreds of years, not the parents. This is really what the professor teaches too... It works the other way too. In "wealthy" areas or areas where the parents are REALLY involved they constantly come in and blame the teachers for the kids behavior or performance in school. They are in your face 24/7 especially now that there is email. However at least those kids are presented with opportunities no matter how involved their parents actually are with them.

Taking these guys awhile to get used to the midwestern course in sept. Constantly bouncing over greens.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 12:23 PM) Yep, what kills me is that my college professors all make it seem like minorities living in bad neighborhoods have an impossible wall keeping them from any type of success, which is flat out untrue and when i tell them my about family's success stories they look at me as if I believe that the world is flat. The problem is the kids are up against it because they have zero guidance, zero role models, and subsequently zero opportunities. A little family structure goes a long way for these kids, but instead the only family they see that takes "care" of each other is the local gangs. If you took a look at the difference in parent involvement in education between some of those CPS schools and a school in a nice neighborhood its ridiculous. Some of those parents send their kids to school for babysitting.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 11:55 AM) Wisconsin gets their fair share of Big 10 Championships. But they are never going to be Kentucky, so its unrealistic to think they are going to win the Big 10 every year. I just want them to keep up their tournament streak and make an impact. I was just busting your balls dude, as an OSU fan I know the danger of the badgers all too well. -
Parenting. These kids are idiots because their parents are idiots.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) Nice, that should help Wisconsin keep on finishing top 4. Hey if top 4 is your goal more power to ya. I suspect championships is what most fans are looking for. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 10:43 AM) I disagree, those are still very tough teams regardless of a loss. Everyone still knows ND's schedule is murder. Washington's sched looks like murder when they showed it last night. If they make it out .500 thats a win. -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 08:24 AM) "Get off my lawn!!!" I guess a lot changes in four years. I can't remember anyone at U of I in the dorms not having a PC/laptop and cellphone. I'm sure there were some that didn't, but that would have been few and far between. My freshman year (99) we all had computers and they had just installed t1's in our dorm. MP3's had JUST come out and we were downloading from FTP sites. I was the only one I knew with a cell phone. BY the time I left we were texting, facebook was about to come out, ipods were around and everyone knew how to download music. Oh and as a freshman we had to use a confusing telephone system to book our classes with no confirmation whatsoever, by my soph/junior year it was online with instant feedback on which classes were full.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 04:46 PM) I already have a ton of confidence in his recruiting. Getting Kendrick Nunn was a huge get for the program. 2nd best player in the state for the 2013 class, plus his dad is well connected in Chicago. Throw in the Simeon connection and that was a big recruit for the program. Plus while he may not land any of them, the fact that he was able to make the top 2 for Jackson, top 3 for Tyler Ennis and top 3 for Xavier Rathan-Mayes who are all top 30 recruits despite only being on the job since April is really impressive. HUGE get, I honestly thought they were behind OSU at one point. His bigs may not shine as much as you wish they did but wait until he installs lengthy athletic wings and guards who can run. It will bring alot to the conference in terms of teams that dont really play the "Big Ten" style. -
Good for you, seriously. All the bad things we were told about smoking turned out to be true, the wrinkles, tooth decay, and of course cancer. Smoking is horrible.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:59 PM) The school my sister went to required her to buy a mac laptop and mac screen for her courses. The price was just added to the tuition, so it definitely happens. Hmm, thats crazy, I guess thats the world we live in now. Not even every kid in my dorm hallway had a computer, I was the only one with a cell phone.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) This is where the story bothers me...I've simply never heard of a class that forces you to buy 1500$ worth of computers/software in order to take a single class, without allowing for alternatives, such as using your current PC and perhaps a PC equilivant of software. IF that's the case, I understand what he's saying...but something is preventing me from believing this. If this is the kind of s*** schools do to students today, no wonder why people graduating from college are in that much debt. The alternative is probably to use the computers in the lab, which we all know is complete bulls***. Apple does give pretty good deals/financing to students though.

I was wary about the memory foam but its actually awesome after you break it in. Also, go into the store and ask about sales, you'll get one half off if not more on any mattress. I have my pillow top for under 1k and it was listed at 3k.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 03:31 PM) Beanie Wells to IR. Can't come back til Nov. 25. Glad I picked up Ryan Williams. Should be the only real option in Arizona's backfield. He's been made of glass since HS. I am sitting Cutler in favor of Dalton moving forward. Hope it pays. I have scored the most points in my league even with his worthless ass.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 08:28 AM) You must have some crappy PC's if they're unreliable. My last two companies also did studies on overall investment between the PC contracts they had (one was Dell one was Lenovo) and users generally speaking cost less when they provisioned them with a mac. Most corp PC's we distributed had to have so much software placed on it for security and management that the cost was similar at the end of the day and the Dell's in particular had a very high fail rate especially in hard drives. These are not crappy best buy PC's either, these are heavily discounted corporate PC's. The lenovo's I liked although they were extremely slow in booting up and the battery sucked, the Dell's were terrible. D600, 540, 620, 680, all pieces of crap. We ended up going to a heavy cloud-federation model with macbook air's and pro's in favor of Dell's and have never looked back. We currently have only one user still on a Dell. I know PC users will come on and say NO WAY, they are so awesome. My experience is with these two brands and HP in general and they have been terrible. I also think my macbook air is the greatest computer a traveling person like myself can ever use. I have no experience with samsungs etc, but I DO love their TV's.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 01:18 AM) If they want to waste a few extra hundred bucks, it's not really my problem. Do I tell my friends to buy Macbooks when they come to me for tech advice? No. Do I give them s*** if they buy one? Yeah, usually, if they're real close friends. That's usually because I don't want them to spend the extra money when there are equally good alternatives. Lol. My iMac and MacBook has been 1000% more reliable and stable than every PC I've owned in the last 10 years. That's included dells, lenovos and hp's. Over the much longer lifetime of a Mac the extra dollars pays off in spades.
