QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 11:39 AM) Ah, Homeland. That's a miss by me. Loved that show. Shameless. Meh. Another one I never really got into. Too slow for me. Shameless slow? Never heard anyone say that about it. Strange. I think FX does pretty great shows actually. Always Sunny, The league, etc Spike kills it with Blue Mountain State.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 07:12 AM) HBO has been slacking recently. Luck sucked despite all the talented actors. Eastbound & Down was unwatchable at the end. Girls - I tried it for 10 minutes, and it may be worse than How to Make It in America VEEP could be OK, but the trailer didn't wow me Make it in America is good and Girls is ok so far. The rest is not as good as HBO should be.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) So this is just an odd week for Wisconsin basketball. Tom Crean has been on twitter today saying how great Wisconsin could be next year. http://twitter.com/#!/tomcrean At least people care about us! Nah, Crean's assistant who works his twitter does, nobody else. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 10:17 AM) I'm not sure he's wrong. Without a healthy Derrick Rose, this team would have a rough go even just in the first round. If they get the Celtics in round 2 and they have a 75% Rose or worse...they're going to lose that series. LOL, based on what? Check out their record without Rose, they are STILL better than almost every other team in the league, especially Boston.

Bears @ SF. Yes please. Definitely going to try to go to that one.

To be fair, Bo Ryan does look like a first class douchebag, but he doesnt really have history of doing this to his players, in fact they REALLY REALLY like to stick around and are very loyal to him. Even Evan Turner is still close to Ryan and he didnt even go there. -

I dont understand the restricting of a transfer, you are guaranteed (almost) that they arent going within conference. Matta just let 2 guys go including a 4 star recruit and pretty sure there are no restrictions. Those types of transfers almost always end up in the MAC or something of the like. -
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 01:11 PM) I kind of thought they would because Em did rap Till I Collapse, and they shouted Nate Dogg's name out, but no hologram Dogg. That would have been awesome. Easy-E would have been great too.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) LOL. And then force him to transfer and only allow him to play in Alaska, Montana, or Idaho, Bo Ryan style. Karma is a b****. LOL, awesome. Seriously, offering 8th graders? Jesus. Sometimes college bball recruiting is just stupid. -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) Crean offered Eron Gordon today, hes Eric's little brother and in 8th grade. Seems like Purdue is in on him (has a visit scheduled) and Id expect the rest of the Big 10 as well (Wisconsin has been mentioned as interested). I hope he goes to illinois. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:32 PM) With the way the puck bounces all over that surface, the sooner the NHL leaves that arena the better. I can't wait for the Hawks to be able to make crisp passes tonight and show off their elite talent. There really doesnt need to be any pro franchises in Phoenix. They get zero consistent support. I bet the Bears would out draw the cardinals there.

We arent the most loved team in the league but every post on espn.com under the story is against the ruling. Every single one.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:28 PM) It would be easy fodder for the conspiritalists to think that this is an effort to try to save hockey in Phoenix. Well the league DOES own them.... And I wonder if the NHL is going to penalize PHX for not taking Smith to the concussion room after that "blow to the head." Pretty sure thats mandatory.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) This is the whole problem. You have a guy actively trying to hurt someone getting a $2500 fine, and then this. It makes no sense. If you want to be tough, be tough. Don't pick and choose. The fact thats its a rookie and not someone like Weber is obviously part of that decision making process. If Toews did the same thing to Smith I would think it would be a fine or at most a 1 game suspension.
-
His "new" swing is terrible. His high finish aiming the LF stands is moronic.
-
Better to just take cheap shots at someone rather that headbutt them into a soccer-style flop.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 01:46 PM) Committed Indians just reported 3 games for Shaw. I'd bet money that Smith plays tonight. LOL, next time he should just grab his mask and shove it directly inte the wall, only a fine for that.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) Yeah, he's the man, I'm not trying to shortchange what he brings to the team. But if Phoenix is really f***ing around, the NHL will be none too happy, and is it really worth it for one game less of Shaw? I think they were trying to hide that Smith was going to play or not play.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 12:27 PM) Still nothing on Shaw, wonder if the Coyotes have something up their sleeve. Jesse Rogers @ESPNChiHawks Smith not available to media. Yotes say they notified the league, calling it "extreme" circumstances but would not confirm injury NHL regulations say all players have to be avail everyday except in "extreme circumstances" which is fine but he prac so how extreme? Tippett said Smith is gametime decision. But reiterated he was fine to finish game This is getting nuts...after like 10 questions about Smith...PR says "no more questions about smith today." conference ends. They are trying to get Shaw suspended and then play Smith or Smith is out and they dont want the Shaw suspension to clue us in. Pretty stupid games really.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) I'll have to check it out... love me some vegetarian friendly places. I'm a big fan of Native Foods and Handlebar for that very reason. Its a cant miss, I'll even order it sometimes because its that good. With a nice side of the creamed spinach in pepperjack cheese.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 12:08 PM) That's good. I bet it tastes good. Have you been to Twin Anchors? They have a veggie sloppy joe that is UNREAL. Its Soy-based.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 10:52 AM) lol I wasnt being serious, just wanted to poke at Steve. And isnt the last Metra train at like 1am? Think about how many bad decisions your missing out on. Ya, drunk train.

Since when is "almost 31" considered too old to go out and party? Maybe if he was 51.
