  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) Where were some of those pitches to Herrera? Strikes down the middle but he faked a bunt.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:17 PM) Call me crazy, but when Teahen bats, I usually have a good feeling about it. Maybe it was the homer he hit vs Storen on Friday? I called that bomb at the bar 2 pitches before it happened.
  3. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:15 PM) Was it even close to being a homerun or just warning track power? He crushed it but the storm winds kept it in
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) Ugh, Cubs have a ton of momentum now Nah, took them 13 innings to save a split at home. They also lost Zambrano and their entire bullpen.
  5. Here is my lineup for the Cubs series (with roster moves): 1. Lilli CF 2. Alexei SS 3. Quentin Rf 4. Konerko 1B 5. Viciedo LF 6. AJP C 7. Beckham 2B 8 Morel 3B 9. Stupid Pitcher spot
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 04:28 PM) Why steal there To product Dunn from a breaking ball in the dirt. It actually made alot more sense than not hitting Konerko for Dunn.
  7. Tip your hat to Colorado's dominant baseball team I guess.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 04:05 PM) I know but I'm trying to be somewhat more positive. :/ Jump on the hate bus, its air conditioned!!!
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 04:03 PM) If the Rockies score one more I would consider their lead insurmountable. It already is, unless someone closes their eyes and runs into one for us.
  10. Looks like Roider Aramis is trying to jerk some hr's out of Wrigley. Sliders and nothing but sliders for him this weekend.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:57 PM) Alexei needs to start using whole field again. He's way too pull-happy now. Ya, he's in a little minor slump. He'll break out of it.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) Michael and Leroy in Vegas were probably the 2 most logical/rational people in Real World history. I disagree, Michael is a pompous religious nerd who has a closed mind because of his relatively small amount of life experience. He's a douche. Leroy is cool.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:50 PM) I have way more tolerance for KW because when you look at the pieces they should work. My biggest complaint about KW is that if hes the GM, he needs to demand Ozzie be fired. His opinion has to be that he gave Ozzie the keys to the car and Ozzie smashed the s*** out of it. I really believe that with a normal manager the Sox are above 500 playing much better. If its the general consensus that this team has underachieved several years over his tenure, than why havent you fired him yet? If you continue to say in the press that the team "isnt hitting on all cylinders" at what point do you fire the guy in charge of said players?
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) talk about a game that will screw with your mind and happiness. those breakthroughs feel good, huh Yes. I quit after 12 holes in my last round it got so bad, lost 15 balls and couldnt even hit an iron off a tee. It was f***ing unreal, and its happened before, the last time I threw out my entire set of clubs to start over. This time I got some advice on how to break the swing back down to simplify it and then build it back up and its worked so far (120 balls today).
  15. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:46 PM) So it's KW's fault that only 2 players in this lineup have an OPS over .635? Really? Peavy is the only player in this lineup with a career OPS under .635 Only Vizquel has a career OPS lower than .700 Outside of Vizquel, Pierre and Beckham, everyone in this lineup has a career OPS higher than .730 And yet here we are in 2011 with a starting lineup performing this poorly....and you blame KW? How about we blame the guy in charge of making these guys perform up to their potential? It sure as hell isn't the GM. The GM's job is to create a roster that is strong on paper, and KW has done that...even today's lineup, based on career OPS, is not that bad of a lineup. No, its not his fault he signed Dunn, in fact pretty much 95 percent of baseball people loved the move for us. The truth is, he is in one of the worst slumps I've seen this side of Paul Konerko.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) When Dunn woke up today he said he wouldnt strike out, and so far hes kept his word! f*** it, its about time he takes half swings and makes contact.
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:42 PM) congrats - putting yips? Nope, swing yips, literally couldnt make contact with the ball. Went out to the range the next day, 200 balls, nothing further than 100 yards, HUGE chucks of grass. Took 4 days and about 1000 balls but I broke it down, simplified, and BANG, out of it.
  18. How the f*** is Dunn's cold zone low and inside?
