Dunn last 7 games : .158/.304/.368/.672
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 01:07 PM) Both of those times, he was dealing with injuries though...wonder fi that says anything about dunn. Konerko has slumped mentally as well. He's just learned to deal with it better as his career has progressed.

FYI, right about THIS time many were ALLUDING to Konerko appearing physically out of shape and done. Its funny how terrible performances can make you think you see certain characteristics of players even through their baggy uni's from only your TV.

Dunn last 7 games : .158/.304/.368/.672
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 12:51 PM) I thought from the opening series in Cleveland that he looked a good 15-20 pounds heavier. That's no illusion. Many have alluded to this. I'm not saying he forgot how to hit over the offseason. But he definitely didn't spend the winter months in the gym. That much is obvious. From when, from when we never watched the guy consistently? I sat 15 feet from the field a few games ago, the guy doesnt look physically out of shape at all, nor does it look like his swing is slow. It looks like he is either cheating on a pitch, or not recognizing it quick enough. Completely 100% mental.

Dunn last 7 games : .158/.304/.368/.672
QUOTE (joeynach @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:37 AM) I was at the game last nite in Sec 121. Watching Dunn's AB's, especially his first against Garza he looks overmatched. Im not even sure this is a mental issue anymore, I seriosuly think he is having physical trouble catching up to a 92+ MPH fastball. He looked so lost against Garza's Fastball, unable to even foul tip a straight 4 seamer. I think what DahMaNeil (Dan McNeil) has been saying for weeks now might actially be right, his traditional do nothing in the offseason but eat mentality might actually be the cause of the problems. Obviosuly, Dunn is a big boy, but he definately looks the heaviest he has ever been. To me he looks about 30-40 LBS heavier than he did when he signed with the Nats in 09 and that might be affecting his swing ability on fastballs. I would also assume at 32+ years of age you can't get by without putting in work in the offseason anymore, something has to change. Come on, you think a few months of offseason would derail the most consistent power hitter in all of baseball? He doesnt look heavier than any other year, that is an extreme reach.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) I'd be ecstatic if we got JJ. They have the Bulls taking Moore on ESPN in the second round. JJ would be alot better, actually a more polished Taj IMO. I cant believe nobody has Lighty getting drafted. He's a very good defender and scorer, he will be a nice prize for someone after the draft.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) and lol@ the gold diggers LOL all the way to my pants. And the Hawks should look to deal Hammer IMO, and of course Soup. I would really like Bieksa, but I think he will be a bit too expensive for us.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) I'm sure Rock will correct me but I thought that there were several at Ohio State a few years after that. Indiana got tear gassed in 2002 after losing in the NCAA BBall championships (I was in my room). Purdue had a tear gassing event after a football game the year before that which caught a few of my friends. The Lakers fans were burning stuff in the streets after their 09 win, but no one was hurt. I'm still amazed that the crowd walked right past a Staples and no one yelled anything about breaking up the "Staples Center". If we're talking about people getting hurt, the start of this season at the Giants v. Dodgers game wasn't pleasant. I don't live in Columbus so no idea. I remember they burned a few couches the last time they lost to Michigan 7 years ago, but not sure. I don't recall something this violent though in any sport.

QUOTE (supernuke @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 10:56 PM) Lots of reasons, many of them irrational. I think the main consensus is mostly that he is a corporate guy that doesn't care about the game, especially in Canada. Canucks fans feel that Bettman will not allow a Canadian team to win the cup because he makes more money if American teams win. Its all part of their grand conspiracy theory.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) Bull & Bear actually gets really crowded really quickly. It's more narrow than it looks. Public House has the same tap deal and there is a back area that can accomodate 40 people. Can you pre pay and get any booze or beer on tap that you want and drink till its all gone.

QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:49 PM) Thanks - The groom is a Cubs fan so that is out of the equation, we are already going paintballing, strippers on party bus, etc. Just looking moreso for bars that anyone has had experience with a group of about 40 at! What area, and what type of bar? If you could narrow down to the general area you will be we could probably throw some suggestions out for you.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) Think of it as the Canadian version of Green Bay, without the history of winning a lot. Except Green Bay has around 200k people and the greater Vancouver area has 2 million.

Bachelor Parties
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:28 PM) I recently did the patio party in a group of 20, it really is a blast. Just make sure your beer is always full because they dont give a warning when they are going to close the taps, and they start limiting each beer order to 1 with 30 mins left. I pretty much had a hotdog and like 8 beers in about 1.5 hrs, great night and great game. I would do that and then if the weather is going to be nice, try to rent out a patio at a bar up north like Cody's or even something more on the main drag. I say Cody's because they have outdoor darts and bags.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 04:55 PM) I guess I just don't understand the goal. There are annoying, pain in the ass fans for absolutely every franchise in every sport worldwide. Posting their idiocy is just pointless. You want to post Bobby Lu's comments about Tim Thomas?? Then hell yeah that would be interesting! Just re-hashing b**** posts from nutso fans is completely pointless. I don't want to ignore all of your posts, because you are a good poster, I just see absolutely zero merit or reason to post something found on another message board and label it as representative of 'Nucks Nation. It's not true, they have plenty of fine fans, and it gets really old as you've been doing it for months. Sorry to annoy you, but Nucks fans have a much larger population of irrational fans than most fans we come into contact with. Ill just post the links from now on so you dont have to read them, but I would challenge anyone to find a message board that has 90 percent of the threads talking about the NHL's conspiracy with the refs after every game.
