What the f*** is your problem, Y-chromosome-missing dolt?! Can't you f***ing read, it clearly states in that paragraph whom I blamed and for what...you were the one who quoted me, dumbass.
-
My dad is only 5'10 and my mom is 5'9+ (both lives were/are pretty f***in' good if you ask me), and yet I am 6'2 and a half. I have suspicions he couldn't been my real father because of it...just kidding, lol I am trying to think how my life would have been worse if I was 5'8....so far nothing: --I don't play b-ball --Nat's ex was also on the shorter side, so it's not like b****es are flogging to me because I am tall, lol. --I don't think I've ever gotten a job because of my above-average height either. Of course I never had an important, professional position like a computer programmer or a stock broker, so who knows. --Tom Cruse, Stalone and Dustin Hoffman are all very short, so height may work against me. Then again Tim Robbins...Ah, who am I kidding.

This was the statement I made, which you eagerly jumped on, right: I'd have to be pretty f***ing stupid to lay Sunday's loss on Colon's shoulders....even if I did agree with Manuel that Clon should have been taken out...in any case, the evidence is right there in the above statement, pal. (I would call you a liar, but I don't think you are one; just a garden-variety prick who can't f***ing read....Go back, re-read it carefully when you have the time, extract the context from 3 different posts of mine where I did mention who, IMO, were the culprits Sunday (Lee, Jimenz, Marte, etc)...and wallow in your own mistake. )
-
I thought you had a man in the house, HSC. (Or is it Steff I am thinking of? I can't tell you apart frankly.)
-
When did I blame him for the loss, you little twat? I blamed Crede, Lee, Maggs, Jimenez and Marte for the loss...but Fatolo didn't help his chances to come out for the 8th as I mentioned above all things considered....Reading is a skill, my faithful companion...and so is watching games. Did you not say that? I think you need to remember what you said in the past before you start accusing someone of misquoting you. Jeezus...is there a moron symposium I was not informed about: I blamed Colon for the "SanFran" loss when he was left to pitch in the 9th as I did Marte for the Cubs game in an attempt to shine the light of reality on this Manuel-ripping orgy of a thread...."Respectively" refers to the two different game situations. Niiiice try...but not really.

Opinions vary...... And skulls crack...so what?

I have no bias (other than the 'bias" shared by 100% of Earth's population). I heard Gammons speak many times and have read a few of his articles. Unsubstanciated rumors aside, his baseball acumen and journalistic skills are VERY mediocre. Ble. (and, no, I shouldn't be able to "do better" than him in order to recognize his many weaknesses...so save it)

Sopranos first 10 episodes (which I watched after 3-4th, lol) were so original and flawelessly executed that to me it's they Godfather of Television. And even though the quality has decreased since then, it's still heads and shoulders above the rest. The only thing I watch, really that's isnt sports or TDS. (Edie Falco is a goddess and Gandolfini is no slouch either. Are you gonna be seeing Sil at the Cell? lol)
-
Now that've seen all episodes of Sopranos in the span of like 10 days...The Daily Show and White Sox are the only programs I care to tape. I tape about a third of all games because I watch about a 100 games a year live.

Tejada is terribly overrated this season: can't hit, can't field, can't run, is going to cost a pretty penny in the off-season. Griffey has been VERY human in the last 3 years: can't run, merely good hitting and only defense saves him from being a complete bust. Juiceless/corkless Sammy Sooser has been nothing but a Greg Vaughn clone in the last 2 seasons. Mike Hampton and Edgardo Alfonzo aren't all that either. There must be more. Say what about Paul Konerko?
-
Which would be fine if only he could come up with anything remotely insightful or unique...When was the last time he said something you couldn't get from one of the Socre hacks?
-
:fyou lowered expectations!
-
Adrian Beltre could be one of the biggest busts in the past 10 years...the hype around that guy was (is) ridiculous...Dodgers signed him when he was what, 16? I still don't understand how Brooks Kieshniek hasn't become a Thome-like slugger. I read some of the scouting reports/articles on him from way back and that dude was supposed to have batspeed and strenght second to none coming out of college even if his swing was a bit on the long side...Wow stupid Flubbies sure did mishandle the kid. Good.
-
Call me crazy, but I am beginning to buy into Cotts being a legitimate A-talent prospect....we don't have a lot of those, do we? (Rauch, R/Wing, Reed, Shurnstein, Honel are all I can think of right now that fit into that category)
-
I didn't realize we play the Twins twice before playing ALC bottomdwellers. Llet me revise it: In the next 18 games, Sox better be 14-4 or else!
-
The funniest part of it all is that over his last 6 weeks, Guerrier's ERA is close to 2.00 and that he might make the Pirates before Rauch makes the Sox. 15 walks and 50 K's? Not to shabby.
-
Yes, the same Tigers who are 3-3 against the our Mighty Sox in the last 6 games...
-
...with a career 5.40 ERA. That Danny.
-
Off-key singing? s***ty harmonica playin'? Emoting like Gary Busey on a bender? Illusory "wawkin' man" status, wrapped in a flag? Courtney Cox?
-
I don't "whine", mothaf***a....I fling redwood tabourets past shrieking fillies!

Considering Danny Navarro is not pitching, anything other than a sweep will be a huge disappointment, no Lohse in this series but a mediocrity and 2 bums. I mean it, since we are already a whopping minus-8 in a "shoudawon" differential since the Jake series (spanning 3+ weeks), I am looking at 6-0 ( 5-1 worst-case scenario) against Twins and Cubs, and then a crisp 8-1 against AL scum. 13-2 run is what we need. NOW is the time to start putting up 6-7 runs a game on the board. Now is the time for Colon, Garland and Burly to show some f***ing will and balls. NOW is the time to f***ing OVERachieve for a change! f*** excuses.

On the contrary I have a very high opinion of you. Humor, and ones individual personality do not always translate well over the internet. If we were speaking you probably would have laughed at my comment. Who said I didn't? Emoticons are overrated, lol
-
You make several great points, SI..... ....but you are forgetting that I too never dream of callling this a "Golden Era" of anything....other than the Golden Era of Short Attention Spans and Apathy, maybe? I too went pretty much on case-by-case basis: Ali/Foreman versus young Tyson/Lewis. Which of course doesn't mean that my "overall level" arguement is not valid.

Oh, there is no question that Lennox almost f***ed up his entire legacy coming out to fight like that. But, if he is anything close to what he was last year at 36, both physically and metally, the fight won't last 5-6 rounds...even considering how normally cautious a fighter Lennox is. There is just too big of a disparity in skill and athlteicism between the two: Lewis could break Klitchko with his left jab alone and if he ever connects with his looping right, it's over.
-
You have a pretty low opinion of me.
