That's just baseball ignorance right there. Just watch some games, will ya? In 40 yard dash, yes Borchard is a step faster. Maybe. Actual base-running? f*** no...even with hamstring issues, Jose is almost as fast on the straight line, is more swift around the bags and, more importantly, gets great jumps. Borchard has a lot to learn and is going to slow down as he ages. Non-factor on the BP
-
Jesus f***ing Christ, will you give him a break? This man has done it for 3 straight years, how about some benefit of the doubt after little more than a quarter of the season? Absolutely unreal.
-
I think Borchard would of scored. There is no way I wouldn't of been sending Joe. BS...he DIDN'T SCORE and that's EXACTLY the point...Jose scores from 1st on doubles and 2nd on singles as well as anyone in the league. Alas, people only start appreciating it when Sox can't score on 3 long singles in the Metrodome with the game on the line... Jose will finish the year with 85+ RBI, you can bank on it. He also has only 1 eror in his last, what, 17 games. ONE.
-
so does Jose say thank you after you suck it off, or does he drop a ball on your head to let you know he finished? Your rapier wit knows bounds....feel humbled by actual numbers from 2001-2002? I bet. Right now Jose is simply not seeing the breaking ball early. A few tweaks, few extra sessions with the BI and he will be fine. He is healthy finally and has SS all to himself. As bad as he has been thus far, he is still out-perfoming Konerko, Crede, Rios, Daubach. Harris, Olivo, etc ABRE LOS OJOS, AMIGO!

Why yes, V --820 median OPS --72 RBI/450 at-bat season out of second spot (many clutch, look at his RISP....) --Good running skiulls, a ton of extra bases taken witout benefit of SB --Off-field leadership --UnderratedDefense that costs very few actual runs from your SS is so very, very awful......Bwa! in 2001, he had recurring hamstring problems and in both 2001-2002 he was moved around defensively and still peformed quite welll...lay the f*** off.
-
Not everyone is bi-dexterous like moi
-
V, don't you have Rios and Crede to b**** about? Look at their career OPS and where they are now.
-
1 for 3 with a stolen base and flawless defense. NBot bad. See that play with Borchard stopping at 3rd? Valentin would have scored. Running skills aren't appreciated enough. Val will get out of his slump and then watch out.

There Is Something About Steff I like that.

Mar, it would take a little more than a vacuous, gold-digging, air-brushed bimbo to make me stand up and notice, I am not 14 anymore And my benevolent God is definately closer to being a woman in body and spirit. YMMV.

Who is her celebrity twin? I trust your descriptive abilities, V.

Show me where I said that please... And if you have my quote mixed up and it's from the post that starts out "In 1990..." then I think that speaks for itself. As for NW - Just passing along what I was told. Tony said his son had to take the SAT. I called you out on "37" thing because I was under the impression you didn't know what ACT was since I know you graduated in late 80's and SAT might have been the only scholastic measurement at that time.....You jumping on my typo is unwarranted since in the previous paragraph it clearly states what I meant... In your posts you definately tried to ridicule me as though my information was way out-there and faulty....instead of--GASP--trying to verify your own "I don;t see how private schools don't require SAT" arguement. Just because your friend's son took one doesn't mean ACT is not a legitimate substitute, ya know? 35 on ACT and great peripherals is considered to be top notch regardless of SAT.......Ivy Leagues may be different but even they make a ton of exceptions when a student fits their profile. And NW as good as it's academically is Top 10, not Ivy League, lol.... So WTF, are you doing your best Oldroman impresonation or what? He too never admits he could ever be wrong.
-
Goddamn Chisoxfn and Steff, you guys made me doubt my memory, or worse, Nat's honesty. Not cool :fyou
-
You spoke with such absolute certainty that the whole thing seemed surreal really...I didn't know the phrase "All non-community college school need SATs" was meant to be a question Yes, ACT is an acceptable equvalent of SAT tests in many private schools. If you have great peripherals and recommnedation, there is definately a way not avoid taking. NW (Evanston campus right?) is no aexception even if their GPA, ACT etc standards are definately higher than those of DePaul, Loyola, etc.
-
Maybe now. 10 years ago...?? it was all within last 1-4 years ago.
-
No, they took ACT....It's the S-A-T they didn't take. You typo-making is contageous. Why call me an asshole?
-
How was I to know it was a typo? In any case, you can get into Depaul with a 20 ACT and 3.0 GPA.. Easily
-
Considering that 36 is the highest you can get on the ACT......I find this whole situation rather comical...lol Depaul, Loyola are private schools as well, with tuitions of 20,000+. I am not sure about Champaigne. I know UoI is a public school
