Nope. I didn't say I expect the Sox to get Bryant. I just said that I want them to get Bryant. I want the Sox to win the World Series too. I don't expect them to win it either.

I want Bryant. Even though he's right-handed, he's a good hitter and would give us versatility to cover for any possible lost time by Moncada, any of our outfielders or Abreu.

I had season tickets for the Blitz in '83. George Allen was their coach and owner. When they announced that they were swapping franchises with Arizona, I got pissed and canceled my season tickets and basically stopped caring about the USFL.

Didn't the Chicago Blitz and the Arizona Wranglers do that in 1984?

After watching the way the Sox played throughout the regular season, I didn't expect the Sox to get past the first round of the playoffs. This is who the 2021 Sox are.

My biggest fear when he sustained that injury was that it might rob him of his elite speed. He was really something to watch run. Hopefully the offseason will allow him to regain 100% of his former speed.

They didn't run hard for most of the second half of the regular season. Can't expect them to suddenly be legging out close plays now.
