I haven't listened to him since the B&B days, and I thought he was an asshole back then.

I'd rather not have my closer running the bases before he has to go back out to the mound to try to win the game in the bottom of the inning. Also, I'd rather have a position player rather than a pitcher running the bases in a crucial situation.

LaRussa is a terrible manager and Bernstein is an asshole. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I didn't like LaRussa as a manager his first time with the Sox. I assumed he improved after they got rid of him and became a good manager with experience.
