  1. I'd have to see it again, but I thought Lamb's foot might have come off the bag when he stretched.
  2. Agreed. But Tony should have his back in public.
  3. I don't follow. Are you saying Tony has something personal against Yermin?
  4. If he blatantly ignored a sign that is a problem, but that should be handled quietly in the clubhouse. What is more likely is he just missed the sign since it wasn't a critical situation and was facing a position player, expecting him to throw a meatball on a 3-0 count. He probably figured as long as he was still in the game he would try his best.
  5. 100% agree. If the issue was Mercedes ignoring a take sign he could have mentioned it to him after the game in the clubhouse. As you said, Mercedes probably wasn't paying attention to signs during a blowout with a position player pitching. Tony didn't have to come out of the dugout to put on a show to appease the Twins. Hell, he never shows that much emotion when the home plate umpires are squeezing his pitchers or screwing his hitters. Yet he felt it necessary because one of his players missed a take sign and hit a home run?
  6. Tony's conception of "sportsmanship" is be sure to take your 'roids.
  7. I wish Tony would show that much emotion when the home plate umpires are squeezing his pitchers or screwing his hitters.
  8. He definitely cuts an imposing figure on the mound, standing 6’9″ tall and weighing 260 pounds. With that size, one would imagine that he would have a fastball to match. Instead, Ober’s fastball sits in the mid 80s, relying on his deceptive over the top delivery which creates a difficult angle for hitters. Despite that lack of velocity, he generates plenty of swings and misses at the top of the zone, likely due to his delivery and size. https://calltothepen.com/2020/02/10/minnesota-twins-bailey-ober-a-prospect-to-watch-in-2020/
  9. Why the hell wasn't Mendick bunting there?
  10. Not as long as JR is running the show.
  11. Ugh. We need reinforcements - badly! A competent outfielder with a big bat would do nicely about now.
  12. Regardless, diving/sliding there not a smart move. Better off running through at full speed.
