Yermin is amazing. I remember Buddy Bradford getting off to a red hot start back in 1970 (or thereabouts) before he came crashing down to earth but I've never seen anything like this. This kid just may be for real.

He'd make a pretty good DH, but his play in LF lowers his value.

Between Eloy, Vaughn and Mercedes, Vaughn appears to be the best defensive LFer even though he had never played there before. The question should be who will be DH, Yermin or Eloy. Now I expect Yermin to come back down to earth by then, but if he's still raking, I'd stick with Yermin for the rest of the year. Figure out what to do over the offseason. This of course assumes Vaughn is hitting well.

If someone would give a bona fide good starter with several years of control left for Eloy that would be good.

It was predicated on the unlikely scenario that Vaughn is hitting well when Eloy is ready to return.

Somebody would need to be traded, and Eloy and Mercedes can't play defense, although Yermin's ability to be an emergency catcher gives him a bit of an edge.

Right, which he probably won't be. But if he is, and Yermin is for real, Eloy is the odd man out as far as I'm concerned.

Not if Vaughn happens to be hitting well. Then there's no place for Eloy. Somebody will have to be traded.

Eloy should take Catching lessons from TA if he wants a spot on this roster when he returns.

After a handful of games Vaughn already much better in LF than Eloy who has played there forever.
