  1. Hope this isn't the 2017 version of the Jose Paniagua game.
  2. If Abreu was at first base, Kipnis would be standing on second base right now.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2017 -> 08:57 PM) He was a terrible hitter in the minors. Should have never been put on MLB roster. Now it's just embarrassing for him It's also embarrassing that the Sox keep trotting him out as their starting centerfielder and still charge fans for major league tickets.
  4. I'm sorry but Jacob May sucks. I'm tired of the Sox always carrying players that in no way belong anywhere near a major league roster.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2017 -> 06:49 PM) Narvaez is so not impressive defensively Most of the White Sox are not impressive defensively.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 20, 2017 -> 11:22 AM) If they can't spend enough to get him, their rebuilding efforts are doomed and none of this matters anyway. Yep.
  7. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 19, 2017 -> 05:47 PM) I hope not. Isn't the goal to lose? Nope.
  8. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 18, 2017 -> 05:38 PM) Leury Garcia is impressing me. Never rated him at all, but he's showing some stuff. He definitely belongs on the field ahead of May.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2017 -> 05:29 PM) Abreu is going to be painful to follow at this rate...thank god for the minors. And they really need to sign Robert. Is there any possible way on God's green earth that they can sign both Robert and Otani?
  10. Abreu is not and will never be a good defensive first baseman. His defense is terrible. Let him concentrate on hitting as a DH.
  11. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 16, 2017 -> 05:38 PM) White Sox option Willy Garcia to AAA Charlotte. Melky Cabrera will return from paternity leave tomorrow in NY. And Jacob May is still on the roster. Ugh.
  12. QUOTE (oldsox @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 06:40 PM) Tampa's Peter Bourjos just hit a homer vs Yanks. I wish the Sox had a guy like that in CF.
  13. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 05:23 PM) A good defensive 1B catches that hop. At least come off the bag and knock it down.
  14. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 05:07 PM) Avi would be completely unplayable in CF, it's crazy to think otherwise. Charlie Tilson will be the CF when he's healthy. Until he hurts himself again.
  15. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 04:55 PM) Add rob mackowiak to that Yep. I was just going to edit my post with that!
  16. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 04:32 PM) Yeah, there's a reason why Avi was moved to RF in the first place. I think he ends up in LF after Melky's gone, or DH. Well he's shown he can't play RF and he doesn't hit enough to be a DH. And playing LF would somewhat neutralize his strongest tool which is his throwing arm. What's to lose trying him in CF? Hell, the Sox played guys like Carl Everett and a half crippled Ken Griffey JR. in CF when they were contenders. But they can't try Avi in CF during a rebuild when they have no other major league ready CFers in the entire organization?
  17. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 03:55 PM) Avi Trying Avi in CF is actually not a bad idea at this point. Some outfielders actually find centerfield easier to play than a corner. He sucks in RF anyway so what do they have to lose? If he can play anywhere passably in CF he would be much more valuable. Besides, his bat plays better in CF anyway. Remember, he came up playing some CF.
