Burger is the only Sox player whose ABs I look forward to.

I feel the same way. When Moncada can play put Burger as primary DH, let him play 1B every now and then and if needed a spot start at 3B. Let Eloy play LF with Benitendi as his late inning defensive caddy. If he can stay healthy fine. If he gets hurt again, who cares anymore.

I'll leave it.

After living through the Hahn era, I long for the Kenny era. At least the offseasons and the trade deadlines were always interesting. And they did win a World Series.

Yeah, sometimes you have to "tear it down" to rebuild. But while you trade your veterans for young talent you should still try to play the game to win and try at least put a respectable team on the field giving max effort to win every game instead of intentionally tanking and having a fan base cheering on blown games. I hated that.

I was never a fan of "tanking" i.e. losing on purpose. I hope everyone that was cheering on the tank is enjoying the result of the tank now. Next time I hope the Sox have a competent GM in charge of rebuilding while the team is still trying their best to win every game anyway.

Jake may be a flawed player defensively, but I love Jake Burger. He's the only player on this team I would really feel bad to see traded. Everyone else can go (for a fair return of course) for all I care.

My take on Pedro is the same as my take on all Reinsdorf's organization's hires, be it front office, managers, coaches or free agents. If he was really good, someone else would have hired him.

I don't know anything about him, but if he was really good someone else would have signed him.

And their record in those games is probably somewhere around 12 - 13.
