Tigers V. Sox
QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) Carl is an idiot who can't even make it on a big league club right now. Chemistry has nothing to do with this debacle He was right.

C'mon, A.J. Slap it right over the third baseman's head.

Tigers V. Sox
QUOTE(cgaudin @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) It is slow, painful and agonizing watching the post-season slipping away inning by inning. What a Phawking disaster this season has been. KW has to be beside himself. This team was the CLEAR favorite to AT LEAST reach the playoffs. I think that's why so many fans and writers are pissed; this team HUGELY underachieved. This is way beyond what I thought the Sox could choke. Unbephawkinglievable. Carl was right.

The Hawkeroo Rant About 2006
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) Its a shame he has cemented himself to this job until he says something so stupid they have no choice to get rid of him. We can hope. Actually, I'm hoping we win the World Series again, and then he quits. Either way, I hope he quits.

And That's A White Sox Season
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) I agree, that is very sad. Call me a blind fan, call me a homer, but Williams is not going to stand for losing, and thats one of the reasons I am one of Williams biggest fans. He sees the holes in this team just like we do, and goes outs a fixes them, or does his best to get the job done. IMO, he gave this 06 team every chance to win it all again, with not much problem. These players tanked. The coaches tanked. Lets for a different Oz next season. We aren't going to see a new manager, so lets hope for a new Oz. KW did a great job putting this team together. It's not his fault the manager misused the players he was given and couldn't keep his mouth shut when it would have been better for the team if he did so. Ozzie is Ozzie. By now, we know what to expect from him. No way will he be fired, but maybe, just maybe, he'll have a tantrum and quit.

And That's A White Sox Season
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) The saddest thing is, I've lost basically all interest in next year's team even if KW went out and got a new group of players that I actually liked and felt have a chance to will it all I have no faith that they'd be used the right way. NOTHING I've seen this year makes me believe that they'd be put in the best position to succeed. Let the Razor Shines era begin. Or Sweet Lou. Or somebody.

Typical AB for Jim Thome lately. Gload should be starting every day.

White Sox are Done
QUOTE(stretchstretch @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) It's just time to be honest about the fact that the Sox have been an average baseball team for almost three months. If only the Sox had played .500 ball the second half, they'd be in first place right now.

I just logged on, but I have to say Thome is not pulling his weight. I'd rather see Gload in there.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) So we want our best offense to be in the lineup every game. And that means that Gload's not in LF for Podsednik....why? Ozzie can't quit soon enough. Pretty soon, he's going to want a team of all 30 year old players and older. Maybe he can go manage the Giants. I hope the Sox win the World Series again this year and Ozzie decides to retire and go out on top. Then, I hope they put up a statue of him at the Cell. No matter what though, I hope he is gone after this season.

Start Gload from now on.

Let's see if Thome can justify his salary this inning. He was brought here to come through in games like this...

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:34 PM) Brandon looks G-O-O-D. Everything is being hit softly on the ground, I love it. Not that one.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Thank god Gload and Cintron get a good view from the bench. We keep a .230ish hitting SS in the game who can barely I mean barely hit the ball because he swings for the fence no matter what is happening. Then we keep a lefty hitting LF that can barely hit. Gload is on the bench with Cintron trying to figure out why Ozzie hates them. Gload is the best LH hitter on the team. Ozzie must have a "gut feeling" about keeping him on the bench while Pods continues to suck.

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:28 PM) Well, its safe to say that even if we do make the playoffs, the Yankees would obliterate us. 2007 is going to need some creative Kenny Williams solutions. Razor Shines?

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:21 PM) The Sox desperately need to find a way to improve their team speed next year. LF and SS should be the places we look to upgrade at. And RF also. Move Dye to DH.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) The slowest developing double play tandem in baseball folks. Nah. It just seems that way because you're used to seeing White Sox runners going down the line.
